As you seen in many of my other previous videos exactly how much I really love the Movo VXR10 microphone and how it's perfect for those on a tight budget. Now Movo has come out with their new Movo VXR10 Pro, slightly larger, more robust in build, excellent travel case with a foam cover and also a dead cat for those situations of recording in high winds. 2 major improvements are the Rycote shock mount and a port to plug in headphones to monitor your audio and it just doesn't work with DLSR/Mirrorless cameras but also on your cell phone. IMO another great microphone for those on a budget with a big budget sound.

I've heard super cardioid mics with more off-axis rejection, but overall this sounded good, and it looks rugged. I like the idea of a headphone jack so you can monitor the signal. Nice review and comparison.

MOVO makes a great sounding budget microphone
Sounds a lot cleaner than the original! I got the microphone today from Amazon but since I plugged in the adapter to microphone with my Canon camera, it had no audio which was very sad so I had to return it. But once I get a better one, it’s gonna to sound great overall. Great video btw! 👍🏻😢😔
The microphone cable is deceiving, you have to plug the 3 ring end into the back of the microphone then the 2 ring end into the camera. I initially made the same mistake then saw the tag on the cable which end goes where. Might want to get another one as it sounds great.
WORTH IT OR NOT? Yes your absolutely right. But I receive the opposite which has both 3 ring ends for the microphone to the camera which doesn’t make any sense and something in the microphone internally for the line out is not working properly so I was pretty frustrated about it and the worse part is I got to wait EVEN longer to have another that works better and return it. I didn’t had a lucky Saturday at all if you can understand what I’m talking about. But thanks for the tips by the way.
@@twins2484 Weird, did yours come with 2 cables? Mine came with 2, one with both ends being a 3 tip TRRS for phones and the other has one end 2 tip TRS and the other end 3 tip TRRS
WORTH IT OR NOT? Yes it did, but the phone cable has end 2 for connecting to the microphone and the camera has both end 3 for the microphone and even plugging in to the camera which is very weird.
WORTH IT OR NOT? I found what’s the problem! I got a 3 ring (TRRS) to the mic with a 3 ring (TRRS) to the camera instead of a 3 ring (TRRS) to a 2 ring (TRS) adapter from mic to the camera. That’s why I have no audio of the mic.
VXR10 PRO makes a BIG difference on the Osmo Action!
The Osmo Action definitely works well with this microphone
Thanks to your video's i now have both mics. I do have a problem with the pro mic and that is the cable that it comes with. It only works one way and the end that plugs to my camera covers the entire flip screen on my camera. Is there a cable i can purchase that has the elbow or L shape end to connect to camera?
Yes they do make 3.5mm TRS 90* angel male to female plug in adapters
i bought the vxr10 pro and its really hard to put the shock mount on, do you have any shock mount replacment to recommend?
What's hard? putting the microphone into the shock mount or putting the shock mount on your camera?
how does it compare to the deity D3 non pro version ?
Unfortunately Deity has never sent me a microphone to review. Maybe one day :)

look at the audio signal in camera and turn it down to -6db and you should be good
Which one of the 2 versions would work for live streaming a live band?
I prefer the original VXR10 microphone

I purchased this mic and really like it ... but: I plugged it right into my Canon R5 and am getting a constant background noise; in FCPX I de-noise but it doesn't sound that good. Any advice? I didn't hear any background noise when you were reviewing it. Am I doing something wrong? Or maybe I'm just not doing a good job in the post-production side. Anyhow, people are raving about this mic, like you, but the background noise is very apparent. Anyhow, would love to hear your feedback on this. Thanks!!

Doren Sorell : Usually you want to turn down the audio gain in camera to -6 to -12 dB, hope this helps
