I am about to get into the business, and cost is a concern, so this will probably be the model I go with. Also, I was wondering how I pay for keeping dozens of different kinds of keys on inventory, and the cost! These universal keys are a great option for someone just starting out.

i have a customer with a 2015 VW Caddy van, he has lost all his keys so no transponder to copy, can this generate a new remote transponder for the car

Can you program a generated remote with the auto pro pad without using the mini obd?
you would use the Auto pro pad with an obd cable. the Mini OBD is to be used with Xhorse programmers and xhorse keys mainly.
Does this work with proximity keys

@@808blackrock2 not yet ,I'm mainly using it for cloning keys as the chips are a lot cheaper than the Silca ones . However I still use the Silca for id46 & id48 as it's a lot quicker .

Please clarify, you copy original remote ke to universal remote and chip with this tools without onboard ???? or outside the vehicle?????
The Steps are as followed: Generate the chip to work for the vehicle desired using the Key Tool Max. Then program the chip, installed in the key, to work for the vehicle using the Mini OBD to communicate wirelessly to the Key Tool Max. Very easy process with good Wifi, and chips can be generated ahead if in a hurry, or regenerated before programming if a mistake is made
Hi , I bought vvid tool Max and received the day before yesterday. I have one question.. you have 2 Mini obd tool. #1. Orange 🟧 color And. # 2. Gray color... a) What is the different ? And (b) if I order .. which one is more better one ?.. which color ?

Xhorse can only Generate Xhorse keys.
Does VVDI use tokens for programming keys or a per key price ?
The tokens only come into use for certain programming jobs. They can be earned through usage or purchased.

I have a fleet of taxis. 08-12 Chrysler town & country and Dodge Caravans. Will the Key Tool MAX work for these vans? need to clone and program
Hi Dan, Keytool Max will not clone the fobik, only transponders. You could technically clone the keys, but onto a superchip and in a y170 shell. No remote.

I am from India and I have purchased VVDI mini obd tool from UHS Hardware, the tool is not showing the Indian cars (eg. TATA, Mahendra). Do you any other xhorse app for the Indian customers.
As the device is not showing our Indian cars the tool is of no use to me.
There are several Indian users who are using your device or selling your device and they say that their device supports Indian cars. Not sure what is wrong with my device.
Can you please help with this issue and provide solution for the same.

The mini key tool programmer is hit or miss not perfect
I have a mini key tool and while I agree it's not perfect, it has allowed me to do a lot of things I could not do previously. It has more than paid for itself with just a few months of occasional jobs. The directions can be a bit confusing.

Hi Mathias, the Mini OBD is a wireless OBD communication device that works with Xhorse Machines through Bluetooth and Wifi to make wireless Programming possible. It's main use is to connect the original Key Tool Max to OBD for IMMO Programming and Diagnostics purposes,. The Newest Key Tool Max can also use the Mini OBD, but also an OBD cable.

What if people dont want a universal remote. They want the original?
That would require a different process and some dealer codes. Very doable with a locksmith's assistance.
OEM Remotes can be purchased, but need specific machinery and passwords to program, although lots of vehicles come with "onboarding procedures" that you can use to add new keys to your specific vehicle.
The biggest problem with Xhorse ALL products is a complete lack of information. Because of this, I have since moved over to buying and using Silca products and supplies

Absolute waste of money, have to purchase xhorse keys and blades. Can't use original manufacturer's keys.. not recommended
Using this combination of the Xhorse KeyToolMax, Mini OBD Tool and any of the various types of Xhorse universal keys you can create keys quickly, easily and for far less than some OEM Keys, so it's a very good option for some. sorry it didn't work for you friend!
@@UHSHardware yes your exactly right.. they are cheaper and can be programmed many times.. just feel some customers may want original. But u can get some lovely posh keys also.
