The 1980's were hell for me....failing out of college....nervous breakdown in '83, losing weight almost dying...years of recovery.....this song , and album really made a difference for me!!! One of the few bright moments during that very hard time!!

When my cousin Reggie was shot and killed at his job in N.J., his wife Gail sang this at his homegoing celebration, and my God, God used her mightily, just as he used Mr. Daryl Coley in singing this song. I was going through something today and wasn't even searching for this and it came up, and I had to listen to it, it has blessed me mightily, and changed my entire night. I had to praise God and just shed tears!!!!!

Dear Daryl, I remember the first time I heard this song so many years ago and fell madly in love with the talent that sang it. I traveled with you through the years always making sure I knew how you were and what you were doing next. When you became ill as a result of you diabetes, i followed your recovery until you were better. When the master called you home to do a greater work a piece of me went home too. Thank you for being what God intended you to be. I'll see you when I get there!

in the original recording of the song there is a part during the bridge that says God will heal the way he wants to. I heard that part on my way to my night classes, the thing is my father had past the day before, and i had been asking God to heal my father. Just stunning and the ease of his singing still amazes me...Daryl is one of the ones that motivated me to pursue music ..I remember my mom knowing how much I loved his singing that she would wake me up on Sunday mornings Bobby Jones gospel when his videos came on!! I miss it

God IS awesome! this song just blessed my soul this morning. WHATEVER we need God said I AM THAT I AM! u need a friend? "THAT I AM". u need a doctor? "THAT I AM". u need deliverance? "THAT I AM". u need to have more love for people? "THAT I AM". u need peace, joy, rest, a companion and the list goes on but WHATEVER we need (according to HIS will)- He said that HE IS THE GREAT I AM. now knowing that alone ought to encourage you! we don't have to be in the current state that we are in. anything we lack He is just waiting to be it all for us because He loves us that much. Now He may not do it quickly, it may take days, weeks, even years (as I know personally) but if you asked in FAITH u better believe He heard you but u just got to hold on ask Him to give u patience and strength I the midst of your waiting, stay in His word, keep fasting and fellowshipping with Him, and PRAISE Him continually -u WILL see your request answered. GOD'S timing is not like ours. we forget that He is sovereign - when He sees fit to answer our prayer, He will do it according to His will.
