Thanks for that interesting and informative guide. The recap was especially helpful.
👍
I clearly made my comment below before I finished the video. From what Adam and Greg said, its clear my forks are not properly aligned. So my question now is, can I just slightly loosen the top triple clamp and the clinch bolts (with the bike on a stand of course) and allow everything to right itself? Is it really that simple? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for this informative video.
Great video. Ive just completed a Rally Raid Level 3 (now 2?) build and encountered a problem. I’m hoping Adam can help. Now that everything is reassembled. I note the handlebars are not parallel to the forks. When the bike is pointed straight, the bars are skewed as if the bike should be turning. Did I miss-align the forks when I reinstalled everything? Other than this issue, the bike is perfect and I couldn’t be happier. Any help would be appreciated.
Everything is very nice but the problem it's very expensive as well 😯
You could have explained what the damping rod did a little clearer. Why does it matter if there is air in the oil on installation? I would think as long as you have the 450 cc then you have 450cc. Doesn't oil get mixed with air in normal use? I really like those bikes. For me anything bigger is excess.
According to the fitting instructions level 1 forks ... Total Fork Oil Capacity:
Level 1 - 420ml 10W per fork leg ... is this correct for the year 2019-2020 CB500X Model ?
Is that HPX 5 W you pour in the forks ?
I’ve never seen anyone ever install the spring before measuring the oil height…
The plastic guide doesn't fit in the tube of my 2019 model, is it ok to trim it down?

@@adventurespec Thanks, I tried, no reply. But I trimmed it down and put it in, seems to work fine.
