- We’ve ridden, maintained, and lived with a 2020 WR250F project bike for just over a month now. After putting it through its paces in our first ride impression, we’ve had this quarter-litre machine in the man cave getting a makeover.
Here are our cost-effective mods that make this impressive machine even better…
And if your a details person, keep an eye an eye out on our detailed breakdown of the parts dropping next week.

Yep that's around $3K worth of mods mostly GYTR
And we topped it all off with some GYTR unleaded fuel and asked mother nature to only pump GYTR air into the air box
I love my gytr products also
wow it looks very beautiful and it is also very reliable, the ones from yamaha are very ingenious and last year I make them better and better I have a yamaha wr 250f 2005 which is really quite old but I am very satisfied with it it is in an impeccable condition and works flawlessly!
How do you find the maintenance? Pretty much just oil changes??
Picking min up in 2 weeks ordered same exhaust and tyres. Can't come soon enough. Really wanted to know what the exhaust is like in more detail even hear it would have been awesome
I didn’t hear you mention anything about the competition, ECU kit and the different maps that you can load onto the competition ECU and have stored in your phone. Be awesome if you’d make a video about that.
I have put a 14 tooth on the front stops the chain draging on the swing arm
Man these things are sold out all around me. Gotta drive 3 hours away to get the last one another state has.
Hi mate nice vid - do you run the fork height standard?
Great tips
Just a question on the Neken bars, what bend did you guys go with for the wr250f? Yzf option?
Cheers!
13 mm front sprocket and a 48 mm rear?🤦🏽
Ride or Dive Kerry - I hope that was just a fuck up and he doesn’t actually think sprockets are measured in millimeters.
obsessed with this bike but can not afford it because standard monthly payment is 250 dollars in my country....
Can you please provide the part number for the GYTR exhaust? In the US I am being told FMF does not make an exhaust for the 2020 WR250F
It's a dr d ns-4 system
I wanted to know what mapping you are running with aftermarket exhaust mine seems to run very lean if I try any yzf maps
Any link for the Map ?
Where did you guys get the rear fender extension? Or did you make it?
Very nice 👍
I just put a 52 tooth on my WR450 2020 because 2nd gear was too long for mx track in 180 corners, might try an 48 also
and run first gear. I like WRs exept the wide ratio gearbox, I wish I would have 6th gear as an overdrive and the rest of the gears like the YZ ratio
We also put a 52 tooth rear sprocket on our 2019 WR450F, it worked great with the standard exhaust system. But when we added an FMF exhaust system, it was too aggressive. So we went down to a 48 tooth rear sprocket to smooth the initial throttle response out
who did the graphics? cause i cant find number plate graphics for the wr 250f.
ik i cant find good grapihcs anywhere for this bike
are the 2018 wr parts interchangeable with this bike>??
13 mil? 48 mil? what are you talking about ??? Shouldnt you mean 13 Tooth - 13T and 48 Tooth ????
yes
How does it compare to a ktm exc350?
I think the 350 is where it is at, that would be my DREAM bike! I would get it best of both worlds and lighter weight.
those are the same 2 bikes I'm considering atm but I'm a beginner in trail riding (race road bikes) so I'm leaning more towards the 250 at this stage
@@edpereira7488 They are both very impressive machines. Can't go wrong with either
They are not even in the same league mate, the KTM will leave this for dead in every single aspect... power, handling, weight, suspension, brakes, quality, looks, resale.
@@AlsAllAussieAdventures dream on tossa ! Stock bikes this thing eats those super models in every way.
What size rear tire
Was the disc guard plastic too?
Yes, the rear disk guard is made of a heavy-duty plastic
So basically the stock bike is fine, after market exhaust on a dyno show very little improvement.
I for one wouldn’t waste my money.
I like it 👍😊👍👌
