I'm an average player but looking at that game I'm starting to think I'm a champion.
In my eyes, you are
That very first shot, you may have been able to carom thin off the bottom of the 15 to make the stripe combo. That way the 15 stays where it is, but the 7 would separate and roll towards his 6 ball. Possibly tying up two of his balls, but guaranteeing you an open run out opportunity. Just an observation to look at if a similar situation ever comes up again.
I dont *think* the combo went. Maybe. These pockets aren’t incredibly tight, but it wasn’t wired right into the pocket, but the short rail instead. I usually notice when they’re wired into the pocket and look for ways to make it a 3-ball combo or carom into it.
Definitely a few better options than what I chose at the moment though 😅
Ahhhhhh!!! I can’t believe I didn’t get the 1 all the way to the rail. Then I broke out the 8. I did Learn that cool carom safety. I’ll get you next time😢
Playing the 15 off the 11 might be an easier way to get a break out.
Maybe! It would’ve been an incredibly thin nudge to keep the 15 still going into the pocket. I muck those up often, and end up going too thick and missing the object ball.
I’ve been watching more English 8ball recently, and they play those caroms so routinely for the runout, it’s inspiring!

He should have shot the 1ball then the 7 then he could have just broke the 8 in the clear not good shot selection
