777-300ER High power run

  • Doing a high power engin run-up for balancing check (N1 vibrations) on a GE90-115B.
    The engine is warmed up for some minutes, then power is set.
    First check at 50% N1, then 80% and 100% N1.
    The other engine is set to approx. 60% N1 to balance thrust (watch the nose gear when the tested engine is at 100%!)

    theoretically, how long could it approx run 100% before over-temp? any difference stationary vs with airspeed?

    Does that put stress on the NLG? Looks like it's shaking a whole lot.

      It is indeed shaking a lot! But the wheels and the shock absorber are there to dampen all this!
