bump j - bump j could do with a longer mix once I find a good rip (a full length CDQ rip seems to be impossible to find)
major thanks to Edness and burninrubber0. cant reiterate that enough. give em a sub
/ @edness
/ @burninrubber0
for the record, it replaces no existing music whatsoever. I also went through the hassle of making sure all of the audio levels matched up - and had to create shorter mixes for some of the longer DnB and techno tracks. the race finish songs are loops I created. i have to clarify that they are not cut content.
down below is a full track list of the songs that were added. all of these songs were either originally deleted from the game before release, exclusive to the PSP version, part of the joint chiefs CD, or were only relegated to instrumentals in the final game.

Cool man, is it possible to add new songs to the game i mean personal songs ?
Is this the full game for I can I just add to my pcsx2 or is this a mod to put in the game files?
most likely but its pretty hard@@TAMPIM
Pleaaase bro if you can add the song by Skrillex & Damian "Jr Gong" Marley - Make it bun dem" it would be too insane to run with this song playing i need this!
It's nice that the midnight club 3 mod community is slowly growing!
Even McLA the complete edition
I never thought I'd see the day Midnight Club 3 would get it's own modding community.
Dude, you don't have to downplay it like that, it's a genuinelly cool mod.

if i didn't think it was a cool mod then i never would have released this. a lot of this video is merely ironic. little self deprication never hurt nobody

This is perfectly a Re-Remix version of the game
This is legit awesome. The soundtrack in Midnight Club is one of its main features and you are making it even better than before... Blows my mind that we can do this now in 2023!!! Looking forward to your next MC3 video!

it would be great if the guys also returned the full bodykit for the impala ss, bodykit is often found in races with NPS racers
This mod is so fuckin hype bruh
I'm about to replay the whole game AGAIN just because of this dawg

absolutely amazing mod, cant wait to play it!! i didnt realize there was so much cut content from this game
im currently trying to find a mod that allows custom music to be added in game. would you consider doing a mod that would allow a player to upload their own .mp3's to be played during races, in the garage, at the race finish, menus, etc? i feel like that would be huge

I patched the 8GB ISO, and it's working fine on PS2 Console/AetherSX2.

Well, this is interesting. Makes me wonder if it's possible to completely customize the soundtrack, and if so, how difficult such an endeavor would be. I also wonder what other things can be tweaked, as well.
...
Actually, come to think of it, the race editor could use some modifications; wonder if there's any way to modify it to reintroduce past functionality like timed checkpoints, add barricades for custom autocross, and so on. (also improve the AI)

Yoo this is sick! Also you mentioned in your burnout revenge demo analysis vid that car parts falling off in the demo could be modded into the final game. Has anyone actually done it?
Good video and excellent mod but i have a question Is this mod possible remade for the Xbox version?
Hello bro, what's coming up in the new update? Your mod is so cool by the way.
now someone has to do this with the customization
shieee your voice has changed since the last time i heard you haha
This is great, but can you or the people mentioned in this video try and make a mod that restores MCLA's beta soundtrack? I can't help but think BT's "Knowledge of Self" would fit so well into the game.

Is it possible to re-enable those cut loading screen music from this video: czcams.com/video/7QiIGs4TFio/video.html ? I played with the mod a bit but I don't recall hearing any new loading screen music.
Wish you can added the cut music on the psp version too.
Just one thing I want to know.... How can u open mc3 files ???
I seached, tried and asked for years and I didn't get anything
Does this allow music exclusive to the garages and loading screens to play during free roam and races too?

You can run the modded ISOs on consoles too. I have the mod on my Xbox Series X and I use it with the XBSX2 PS2 emulator. It runs beautifully in 1080p at 30fps though I can upscale it natively to 4k

I CAN NOT WAIT TO LEARN HOW I CAN NOT WAIT SO MUCH THAT I CAN'T WAIT
@@user-rf1vw7ze9n FUCK YEAH! I CANT WAIT!
Yeah! I want answers too!
I tried to do it myself and ended up failing miserably.
That disappointed me a lot, because in the PSP version I had been able to replace the Game Music with Mine.
Question - I'm interested in custom music into the game, but are there limits to how much you can add to the game like in MC2? I tried adding (not replacing) songs into MC2 and all I got was the string to show (albeit very broken), but the song would never play, despite being properly encoded.
with the primitive tools currently available, there is a certain file size limit to the STREAMS.DAT before bad things start to happen. what would be optimal is getting the game to run unpacked without the need for compressed data archives, which should be more than possible and has been looked into (some progress has even been made). only it currently hasn't been figured out yet
@@supertype1792 Is there a download for the tools out there?
@@cacohat no, thats up for the creators of the tools to decide. the current ones are very primitive so i reckon theyre being worked on before getting a release
@@supertype1792 Alright, good to know. Thanks!
@@supertype1792 Is there any way to contact the Creators of those Tools?
In my case, I need one to help me convert audio files (Wav and/or Mp3) to .rstm (The format used by the Game).
What did you use for that?
now if only aero made widescreen patch like he did for burnout 3...
the aspect ratio of the hud is tied to the resolution of the game. with burnout 3 it came down to just editing some floats but mc3s hud is tied to the games resolution. and increasing the internal resolution breaks the game so i doubt itll get figured out anytime soon
@@supertype1792 i see

Hello, can you please help with the installation?
😌
The mod removes the intro to the game is there an option to restore that too?

I can't figure out how to save it as an ISO

Remember FAT32 holds only up to 4GB
X6 Copies Midnight club Dub or Remix from ISO
Usbutil Ps2 English version

Rename the file MC3 or anything else short
so you won't have errors on Usbutil
Remember to install OPL PS2

I tested this on real hardware via Open PS2 Loader, and:
- The volume for the added songs is just too low, too damn low. Had the vehicles/engine sounds on 2-3 and it's still not enough to hear them.
- Why does this rip all of the FMVs? Is it so people can burn it to a real DVD-5 (single layer)? I don't think anyone is using physical backups anymore, there's no reason to. On PCSX2 you can now use CHD images, or just NTFS compress if you're on Windows, literally halves the game's ISO size without the mod applied. This matters to me because for decades I had a totally legit copy with no FMVs, I had no clue the game had a story mode, or the vehicle unlock videos etc, it takes away from the experience. If there's a way to keep the songs and also the FMVs, please, make it happen.
- I also wonder if you can actually replace some of the songs with their uncensored counterparts.
Thanks for the mod and I appreciate the effort,I really do. But, at least the volume issue has to be fixed. I dunno if it works well on PCSX2, but on real hardware it sure doesn't. Happy new year to you and everyone who read this far.
Hi
The songs aren't too low, that's just placebo. I know this because I painstakingly made sure audio levels matched those of the retail game for each song, and spent a lot of time fine-tuning those levels. Some songs have quieter intros (as do some the final game's songs, e.g The Hand That Feeds), but aggressively normalizing audio to ensure each section of each song is equally as loud will make for ugly results. It therefore is not something Rockstar San Diego did either. Lowering the vehicle audio is something you should do anyway if you want to hear this game's music properly. That goes for retail tracks as well, as they too often are easily drawn out by the vehicle audio on the default setting.
The story FMVs aren't missing at all. In fact, no FMVs are missing apart from the startup intro videos. I did that as a time saving measure when I initially was testing the mod, and just left it as is since I figured the kind of people who'd be downloading this mod are the type to immediately skip the intro either way. I don't understand how it is you could've missed that, as simply launching a new career would've confirmed the existence of the story FMVs.
With all that said, there's a new update on the horizon that adds a couple of new tracks, among other new features. Happy new year to you as well!
