- This Video is not mine. It belongs to GrandTheftAero. This is just a re-upload of the original video after the video was made private. The below text is what i persume to bethe original description for the video i managed to find. Sadly, some links do not work.
So, here it is. Took 2 months of research and non-stop editing, so i really hoped you liked this video even more than the U1 video. We couldn't list every change however, as some info would never be discovered, is uninteresting to the point where it's not worth mentioning or it's something impossible to show. there is something known as licensing that we need to use for brands and nfsu2 has tons of it
it is a reason why there was a downgrade in nfsmw customization
I think heat legitimately gets close, but the main campaign structure is weird. I have hopes up for unbound.

The Porsche exclusivity is the worst thing that happened. Porsche couldn't appear in games like Forza motorsports or TDU BECAUSE of EA

No kidding. EA barely made use of it outside of Porsche Unleashed and sticking 2-4 Porsche cars into most other installments afterwards. If EA were wiser, they would've made Porsche the star of MW2005 instead of BMW and they would've released a Porsche Unleashed sequel during the early 2010s.
for damage, I also remember in the street x video that plays near the start of the game the cars had shattered glass animations if they hit each other. that was removed from the final game. also one of the 'game tip' screens during loading screens features a black small hatchback that doesn't match any of the cars in the game, it almost looks like a geo metro hatch with a green pontiac gto. Also the color changes depending on the area of the city you are in. I noticed certain parts of city center have either orange blue or green tints to them.
If you pay attention to the down hill drift ( Touge ) tutorial video, you can also notice the rearview mirror loosely shake around after hitting something. Also, in the same street-x tutorial video, if look closely, you can notice that the impact effects and physics are different than the final game as well as the R-34 loosing its rearview mirrors. BlackBox had some black magic going on, they had so many ideas, yet even WITH compromises, they delivered, albeit, progressively less and less due to EA continually tightening the knot around them with deadlines and higher and higher demands.
I know I'm 4 months late but that black hatchback is a Peugeot 106. It's exclusive to the EU version of the game.

I THINK some of those engine sounds were only there so they could be used for modified cars; the use of the 360 sound for the RX-8 would seem to imply this.
Also there IS a metallic paint option in the final game, though I'm guessing what was cut was different from what we ended up with.

25:26 The LOD renders of the city are probably the city you see in the distance off the cliffs in Jackson Heights.
It is a common desing technique to have an LOD scaled version of the main "map" to see when the distances are too far from the actual models, as that would be very hard on performance to render.
You can see this being used for big environments on many Valve games running on the Source engine.

18:59 is at the stadium wouldnt surprise me if they were planning on a nascar track and that may be why those files are still there
Thank you for the reupload! I wonder why GrandTheftAero had to privatize the original video. UG2 is an amazing game as it is, but I wish we would have seen a version of it with all the removed content - if only developers had more time to develop games back then.
My guess is that the video was so outdated that it wouldn't make sense for anyone to be filled with really old information, so he put it on private

mostly has life issue,same as chip300rr or probably youtube doesn't let GrandTheftAero earn money or missing stuff such as an hidden video found in sha do which make bad feeling or probably doesn't want to brother video because kid,GrandTheftAero has scrapped video such as burnout history,nfsmw beta doc,...he probably tried find completely more detail which you never know

Forgot to say a lil bit more things. That pegout 106 its not there anymore, and when its loading, before race or when got out from garage, there was pictures of some cars. Like i remember 1 red golf showing the 10star , SUV gold one , and alot more that i cant remember now.

In real life, street cross is people racing their cars in a parking lot within a track made with traffic cones.
1.Knockout mode is still in the game, It's just not in a career mode. But you can start a custom race and turn knockout on. If I'm not mistaken you have to do knockout races if you try to complete game by 100%.
2. 18:07 Fun Fact - those roads are still connected in Drag races.
3. 18:58 I bet It's stadium. There was a stadium where part of Street-X races where held.
I mean the nfs modding community is CRAZY. I wonder if they can add all lf this as a *mod* . But most of the audio car sounds are just the fully upgraded sound cars in the game

Why removed Tunnel Construction?
Those audio files you mentioned i.e. ferrari 360 is the sound recording they used when you do a pro/extreme package upgrade. The R34 GTR for e.g. used Ferrari 360 sound when upgraded to stage 3 engine extreme package. It was never intended to be used as an actual car.
Note the vid was unlisted i still have it saved on my watch later he claimed that some of the info were incorrect
