- Check out some brand new gameplay in the release date reveal trailer for Bayonetta 3! Bayonetta is releasing on the Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022!
Bayonetta makes her way through multiple locations in an all-new, over-the-top action game. The Umbra Witch must face a mysterious evil using her signature guns and Witch Time ability. This time, invading manmade bioweapons called Homunculi find themselves in Bayonetta’s crosshairs.

Edit: Yes, I KNOW games CAN run at 60fps on the Switch, but (most) gamers are way too needy and whiny. With all the bs going on in these games, I wouldn't bet on it running at 60fps- not locked anyways. None of the previous ones did.

This is all I’ve been waiting for! The new character looks so cool, I love the fact that her demon partner is a Cheshire Cat! That’s a nice callback to little Cereza’s favorite toy. The action looks amazing and having enemies unlike angels or demons is really interesting!
the fact that the new creatures are man made makes the trinity of enemies feel complete. Paradiso has the angels, Inferno has the demons, and the world of chaos has the homunculi. 3 realitys, each with their own enemies
@@EpsilonStar17 Oh yeah, that’s right! That’s amazing, focusing on the Chaos side of the trinity of worlds! I know Astral Chain also had man-made homunculi, maybe they’ll function a bit similarly: this failed savior of humanity from the forces of Angels and Demons.

they literally got the first boss from dmc 1 as a cameo. Even the little knock knock Dante does! Amazing cameo!
The feels are strong, one day bayonetta and Dante will cross paths.
The phantasmarinae actually appears in the first game, the series actually has multiple important references to dmc in fact.
It made an appearance in one as a summon... A boss in bayo two and again comes back in this one..... Have y'all never played the first two? Too many ppl are shocked at this....

I mean, if you look at the credits, you'll see a very familiar name to it which is Hideki Kamiya. He did worked in DMC 1 so that right there was one of the big giveaways. I know there may be some more from DMC that they brought in to help this game out.

Awesome, but I do hope the Lumen Sages get a bit more screentime. Playing as Balder in Bayo2 was a great unlockable that left me wanting more!
Also male umbra witches, apparently males can become umbra witches as well but not often since the umbra witches are commonly female

It's very possible that *is* Cereza because they seem to be doing a multiverse thing, and Hellena Taylor doesn't voice this Bayonetta (but she does have a role in the game, possibly the other Bayo in red)

Viola is the link between Bayo and DMC, and you can't convince me otherwise. Light slicked back hair, blue and red all over her, a katana she wears on her back, grappling hook mechanic, punk rock look, cutting bullets in half, name starts with V *and* is the name of an instrument that Vergil is potentially fond of...she's the daughter of Nero and Kyrie.

So uh, regarding Viola...she has umbran powers. A "Cheshire cat" themed summon. And a grappling hook. All particular quirks of 2 well known individuals. And since it looks like we're visiting alternate worlds or realities...and Lukas reaction to Viola...we may need to consider ALL THE HYPE

THEORY: Og timeline bayo (one from bayo 1 and 2) was taken over by the purple entity from the teaser trailer and she became a villain, disappearing while the other characters don’t know what happened to her. Cereza, the little girl from the first now older, comes back to this timeline in order to stop OG bayonetta
I also think the voice at the end is the OG bayo as the villain (maybe voiced by Hellena Taylor..??? Idk I can’t tell that well)

Nah, the first 2 games have tons of references to other games, especially DMC. There’s Enzo, a tombstone that says DMC, “Angel May Cry” achievement, Team Little Angels, “flock off, feather face”, etc.

All the people complaining about the graphic and saying the Switch is limiting it... Babylon Fall looks no better than this and it runs on current hardware. It's Platinum Games guys, they don't do AAA, they are a relatively small software house and this is what they can do in a reasonable development time. Ask them to do more and they will have to take shortcuts in other areas, and I don't think any of us want a good looking bad game, right?

Yes, it's not hyper realistic, it could be better, but it's more than serviceable and not an eye sore.
A game doesn't have to look like a perfectly optimised PS5 game to be good. Heck, none of the Bayonetta games were particularly amazing looking and yet we still got a powerhouse of a franchise.
People are saying this looks bad graphically??? Like yeah maybe compared to some hyper realistic AAA release but like, an art style will always be more fondly remembered than a realistic game.
It is, just watch DMC 5 and this and it's not about being a good or bad game.

I have a theory that the character of Viola is from another Dimension, essentially in the trailer, she said "this world" rather than "This city" and its supported by her accent. Jeanne and Bayonetta both have english accents, whereas Viola has an american accent. Plus she also seems to lack a heart of an umbra witch. Plus it seems this game will have a lot of stuff involving alternative universes and other dimensions

The beginning scene kinda looks like it was at a wedding venue on a ship, perhaps a marriage ceremony bayonetta was attending got crashed and that kicks off the first chapter? It was also stated these monsters are part human, so maybe all of the guests and the newly weds got turned into those things and that’s why they were on the ground initially

i might get it for the gameplay alone, but i wish they could go back to the first game aesthetics, they were MUCH better.
The second game was a nice extension of the first games aesthetics, we got to see inferno.

This is probably a grown up Cereza and the Bayonetta we played as is in her alternate dimension.
I'm glad they fixed Jeanne's hair while still maintaining her sense of style, but the weird dress irks me. Hopefully it'll grow on me
