I love the portrayal of Yuffie here, in Japan she’s this cutesy naive ninja in training teenager. In the English localization, she’s a stupid kid with delusions of grandeur (which was exactly how I pictured her) with heart. SE knew one key factor of the success of FFVII was how they perceived in the west, good thing they hired two different teams to write their dialogue.
this is not your typical SE, this is the original producer and writer of ff7 remake Yoshinori Kitase and the other staff that was previously involved with crisis core and final fantasy VII. This is their baby, I am just so happy that all of these talented and full of experience people are working together again.
What's the difference? Those two characterizations don't contradict each other at all.

They really did an amazing job bringing her personality to the front. The whole DLC just let's me know that SE isn't afraid to try new things with the material they have from the original. The Fort Condor game was so much fun to play also.
@jole hannah. I have to agree with your statement. Remake has done a great job in fleshing out the personality of these characters. Yuffie is portrayed exactly how I imagined she would be.

Yuffie is a nice change of pace on how she approach a problem because of how she treats everything like a game and I also liked on how they showed what was happening behind the scenes.
Man, the texture and detail is way much smoother. Even the ps4 pro wasn't able to make the images this slick.

It's obvious this dlc could've had a PS4 version as well so I'm guessing making this PS5 only was a promotional deal breaker tactic for Sony as a system seller.
I'm hoping part 2 can also be on PS4 as well as I read online that FF7R part 2 will be on PS4 and PS5 so let's hope that's true and Square thinks smarter next time.

Back then they had a poor reception xD but i always found that old game cool and seeing them in the remake trailer just absolutely blew my mind. I needed to know what they were gonna do xD thanks

Nope i own a pc with a 1660 and Ryzen 3700x and 32 gigs ram so rules out me buying a PS5. I was going to save up and buy a PS5 given i still use my PS3 however i game with friends a lot on pc and my old 970 was crashing my pc. So rather then just buying a new GPU after stimulus check came. I used it to build a new gaming pc and replace my 8350 as well. I gave my old tower with my 8350 and 16 gigs of ram to my dad we just took out his gpu and changed his windows 10 package to sink with his new build like we did my old pc. However i love old Final Fantasy 7 on my old PS2 so i have been watching the remake online given hard telling when Steam will get it.

Sonon’s death was expected but unexpected at the same time. It hit me hard when he closed the door on Yuffie and he smiled at her and she wailed. Gosh remake has gotten me crying more than usual. The writers are doing an excellent job. Even though Sonan was a minor character he was a very selfless character and could’ve evolved into a wonderful main part of the team.

Highly doubt angeal makes an appearance at all. Zack killed him remember? And his last 2 copies died as well. Granted they seem to be bringing Zack back to life, but its still Zack after he kills Angeal not beforehand.

Awesome to see someone playing Intergrade, I think you might have the counters mixed up in Fort Condor though, looked like you were summoning the weaker units to fight it's stronger variants xD. Bow (green) beats Shield (blue), Shield (blue) beats Sword (red), Sword (red) beats Bow (green)
Okay, nice to see I wasn't the only one confused there. I watched the first battle and was like, Something doesn't seem right here.
Those were the hardest parts to watch because of how they fumbled through it. lol Fort Condor reminds me of Ni No Kuni II's minigame, so I saw the faults in their gameplay almost immediately. lmfao

Dope DLC. Square really is first class. The only thing I would have changed about FF7R is the pace of combat. Sometimes there's just too much going on and too fast. It was really noticeable in that last fight. I think if they added 15% souls vibes to it it would be nice haha

it's good to see yuffie in this game. it's was obvious, but nonetheless i'm glad to see that she is actually canon. i hated the fact such cool characters like yuffie and vincent wasn't canon to the original story, despite having their own lore. can't wait to see what they do with my man vincent in this game.

All this is happening before the whispers are defeated, which means that this is what Yuffie was doing during the Midgar portion of the original game. Pretty cool to think about.

It just hit me that the scene @ 3:36:25 is similar to the main party following the train of blood that Sephiroth created. Nero the Sable isn't sephy-tier threat, but his brother certainly gets close to it.
