I'm actually curious about this quote. She says "so sad that you know that", but these characters are in high school, right? And the movie came out in 2006, meaning they would've been kids when Spongebob first aired in 1999. I guess the best comparison today knew a fact about Paw Patrol, even though they would be in the right age range to know such a thing. This...this scene raises more questions than answers.
So I think what the intended logic was *Joke about spongebob* "Oh he lives underwater, so maybe Frankie's death will be caused by water" *Sarcastically states it's sad he knows that since it's common knowledge.* But the writing is just so clunky I fucking hate this part of the movie lol
It’s as weird as that time in Dreamcatcher when they said “Scooby-Dooby-Doo we got some work to do now” when attempting to check on a man on the toilet
They're looking for clues, so she says maybe there's something in these prizes, (can't tell by the quality but I assume there's a SpongeBob prize in there) so he says "like what. He's gonna get crushed by a giant Spongebob?" As sarcasm, but then he remembers SpongeBob lives underwater so he seriously thinks it might be a clue, that Frankie might drown.
When the woman suggests the prizes in the photo are what could cause the subject's death, the man incredulously suggests he could get crushed by a giant Spongebob. I'm assuming the whole "Spongebob lives underwater" part could be him justifying that by saying that, since Spongebob is a sponge who's full of water, and therefore, a giant prize of him falling of someone while full of water could potentially be dangerous.
@@zauztheblacksmith I think it was more so an extension of logic that since Spongebob lives underwater, Frankie's death might be caused by water, but it's poorly written dialogue either way
Who on earth doesn't know that spongebob lives underwater
Dead meat would agree with you
Another reason why the 00's was the drizzling shits. Too many people trying to be dark and edgy during that time.
it's maybe the most random quote in the movie
I don't know why, but him stating that SpongeBob lives underwater is just hilarious for some reason..
spongebob is a cartoon🧽🍍

“What no it isn’t, everyone knows who lived in a pineapple under the sea”
Are you telling me Wendy doesn’t know and watched SpongeBob
Kevin’s point is that Frank could drown underwater.
Everyone died! The end.
I think the reason why they said “SpongeBob lives underwater” is because they thought Frankie cheeks is gonna due to water
Well it did involve a boat
From the Nickelodeon show (not the title character), name of squirrel character in diving gear?

SpongeBob was mentioned in this Final Destination movie
I really wonder why they mentioned SpongeBob in the movie
Exactly. I feel fucking stupid because I still don't understand what the fuck this exchange was lmao.

Wrong! SpongeBob lives in a pineapple under the sea.

There's a movie called "SpongeBob: spong out of water". He probably doesn't watch nickelodeon
SpongeBob the Nickelodeon show (not title character), name of squirrel character in diving gear?
Never fails to make me laugh my ass off at how stupidly random this entire conversation is

Wendy was in a movie with Spongebob. They were in Sky High (2005)
Even though SpongeBob and Karen were cameo in sky high
Patchy the Pirate is the SpongeBob Squarepants fan club
why did spongebob even get mentioned
If this series was rebooted, then it would be sadder if he didn't know that.
I was waiting for a funny edit with spongebob footage. I didnt expect an actual quote
Maybe he only watch SpongeBob when SpongeBob's making fire while camping
She is not a bro

This movie was so iconic
It was so iconic that everyone dies, the end
Idk why but when i saw this scene i was laughing 😂
Ramona flowers?
The hell?! 😅
what did they mean by this
My conclusion is that the Spongebob movie came out two years before this FD did
Tom Kenny was a producer at New line cinema which produced this film so I’m assuming they wanted acknowledge it for some odd reason
