Olipop ! Death in these movies can just do anything it wants. In the first movie, some liquid poured out of the wall, made a guy slip and get choked by a wire and after he died, the liquid reversed back into the wall like it was being sucked up.
In the original script THIS scene would of been a death. Instead of saving her from the carwash brushes, the brushes make contact with her face and would of brushed off her meat exposing her skull
They clearly just didn't want to kill the character yet. If they wanted to have her killed in this scene they could have, maybe electrocution? But no, they wanted her to survive.

Then when washing the car with soap, you realize that a very harmful bleach or acid was spilt into your bucket and then the skin on your hands begin to peel and bubble and then as you run into your house you trip and your head hits a nail sticking up. Or you know you just dont wash your car and go to bed instead.
