I can so relate to this. Closing chapters is sad and hard (as well as exciting!). I'm moving in ten days (leaving italy where I've lived in total for over two years). I've moved so much over the past few years, but this is my first time moving because I have decided that it's time to go somewhere else. I definitely have room for improvement on deciding when to end things but I think its a lesson that brings you a lot of growth :) good luck with the move!

i'm the same way with letting go. i quit my job after two years earlier this year and after a month of my new job, i ended up quitting that to go back to the old. eight months later, i just put my two weeks in again because it's something i needed to let go of a long time ago. i was miserable there yet letting go hurt even worse because leaving meant letting go of all the good memories that job held. i've been in a funk all weekend because i'm struggling with letting it all go but i know time will heal it. having to go back and see your past though is always triggering (you going back to la, me going back to the old job) you think of everything good that happened and where you are now in comparison. it's easier to just shut the chapter and never look back, but thing is, when you have the face the old again, you get hit with all of the emotions you never dealt with. i'm glad we all kind of experience this though. it makes it feel a little less hard knowing you're not alone.

I saw her comment somewhere before that her new seattle apartment combined with renting a room in Shelby's LA apartment still works out cheaper than just the old LA apartment was, so works out for the best!
