  • How to create multiple folders at once using a batch file
Batch file commands (as used in this video):
You can also use 'mkdir' instead of 'md'; both commands do exactly the same. To make folders with spaces in the folder name, use quotation marks. Example:
    md "Folder Name"
    Full instructions:
First, create a batch file. Right-click, ’New’, ‘Text document’, give it a name, and give it the .bat file extension.
    Click 'Yes'.
Now right-click your file, and click 'edit'.
Now type ‘md’, which means ‘make directory’. This is the command for creating a folder.
Then type a space, and the name of the folder you want to create.
To create multiple folders at once, separate them with a space.
To create a folder with a subfolder, type the name of the folder, then use the backslash (\), followed by the name of the subfolder.
When you're done typing the names of the folders you want to create, click 'File' and, 'Save', and close the batch file.
Double-click on your batch file to run it.
And, it works! As you can see, it created all the folders.

That's by far the best way I've seen and worked first time.. brilliant.
I now want to create 2 x subfolders in each of my 950 new folders, one names "Internal" and one names "External"... is there a similar way to do this or is it possible whilst adding the original content?

My files begin with 01 Jan 04, 01 Jan 23 etc. How would I create folders for the year in that format. How do I create files so that 01 Jan 04 remains together as a folder? The folders are separated in 01 then another folder for January and another folder for 04. Thank you.

Great idea, but some things are odd. You use some odd things in Excel and you need 'insert column' to move your countries to the right and then you don't need any apostrophe, it works without it. Just md name_of_country. The rest is the same and with the same result. Half of your operations are totally unnecessary.
