ITS SO SMART, its like this heated number where they're both fighting. Then it ends with them both pointing towards the door singing the lyric "check your ego at the door!" then a sharp chord to end the song and BAM. Anton walks through the door they're pointing at. Then maybe Linguini squeals "Ego at the door!"

I highly agree with Skinner getting a villain song! I instantly pictured something akin to either Mason De Lunes from Beauty and the Beast, or A Story Told from The Count of Monte Cristo. Showing him 'plotting and scheming', and laying evidence to his greed! I would even bet you could make a reprise of it for when he captures Remy! Then, when he locks him away and leaves, all the lights go out onstage. A few seconds later, a single spotlight shines on Remy, and he gets a solo about balancing his love for cooking, his family, and what people see him as, which ends with his family joining in as they free him, and how they still support him. I want this to be a thing now!!

The one thing I haven't seen anyone capitalise on, is the "combine one flavour with another" where IN THE MOVIE, each flavour is represented by a style of music, and they mix when trying the food together. That's perfect for an awesome musical number!

It can still work as a pants role, where she is playing a man.
There are also ways to modify things so that, say, she knows she had a kid but thought he died or something. But the pants role is much easier.

I really want there to be a musical number incorporating the scene that Remy is talking about the combinations of flavors (cheese with the tang and strawberries with the sweet and mix them together and it's an explosion of flavor. And theres the colors swirling behind him in the scene.) because honestly that's one of my favorite parts.
Also that scene where their entire rat society is in the old lady's house and they completely destroy it. Idk I feel like little scenes like that (very short ones, yes) really add to the story and I would be sad if they weren't there.
I love how there are so many different TikToks for this show to the point that everyone can pretty much make their own version of the musical!

My view is that the best thing to have for Remy's first time viewing the kitchen is to have the kitchen staff performing a fugue using restaurant jargon because it sounds incredibly chaotic yet jt is extremely organised and follows strict rules.
Possibly with linguine's part having objectively bad and out of place counterpoint so that it is clear that he does not belong.
I would most definitely pay to see this on a stage. Like, no hesitation. Would gladly save my paychecks to buy tickets.

Ratatouille was one of the biggest motivators in me becoming a chef. Colette made my career and as a theater kid myself, this touches my soul
I really hope that after all this is over quarantine I mean that playwrights actually take up the challenge to fully write this musical with obvious credit to the tik Tok creators who helped to inspire and write the songs and musicals themselves but I would love to see this on stage eventually

There's a huge build of in the fight between linguini and remi for a final "Check your ego" dramticness
You hear doors slam
The ensemble whisper sings "check your ego" over and over in a excited scared kinda thing that puts you at the edge of your seat.
In the background you can see linguini and remi arguing.
Overlapping the "check your ego" repetition in the background by the ensemble you see Anton Ego making his way across the stage shouting ratings / berating restaurants until the very end "... Gusteau..? Any one can cook? I'll see about that!"
About this time you can see linguini point away from him so it's cue for "I want remi to go away! You're not needs Remi!"
Dramatic sharp end to music, Lights out, next scene

Act 2's opening scene can be Remy and his dad getting into an argument which turns into song, then lights down on them and up on Linguini and Colette beginning their love ballard,
then lights up on all of the stage as we see half of it is normal size and half of the stage (+ background) is enlarged for the rats. Remy and his dad walk back in still argu-singing, and there's a too and fro, or simultaneity between remy and his dad's song, and linguini and Colette's song
Amazing ideas! Ratatouille is one of my personal favorite Pixar films and I feel this would really do justice to the movie.

I would have said we have egos flashback scenes happening in the back round as ego sits at the table singing about his memories as a child and everyone except for ego, the younger version of ego and the mom freezing to kinda of show how much this moment meant to melt the heart of such a critic

Seriously, I cannot wait for this to be real. I literally get chills everytime the words "Anyone can cook" is sung. This movie means so much to me and has gotten me through so much. If Malinda were to be a part of the official end work, I would have found a reason to stick on Earth.
The ego song is beautiful but if made longer I would want a sequence with his younger self incorporated into the song and part of the whole story. It would make for a powerful connection song in my opinion.
