1.8 m at 14 years is a lot . He may become way taller 1.9 easy. I like the legs movements ,smooth motions and play style very similar to Xu Xin even the backhand . It would be great if he adopts more open backhand , a bit flat but faster strokes over the table backhand and cool crazy sidespin a bit further like Wang Hao . Forehand is excellent , I like the technique . It would be great if this player make it to the top and we see him represent team China and this is not an easy task .

I can see why Wu is compared with the 'Cloud Walker'. At only 14, he is already at 5'11" which is tall for even professional table tennis players. He will only be taller which means with excellent footwork, speed and skills yet to further develop from his already excellent background, he would only be better.
The PRC should have him further seasoned in the Provincial - National level first, then sent him to International Cadet to Junior competitions to gain more international experience. Wu should be an excellent prospect at his projection. Hopefully with careful training and coaching, he would be soon progressing to the National C and B level, before the final promotion to the A level.
At the meantime, I hope that Wu has a chance in a few years to compete in the PRC Super League, just to get a taste with the current best of the best PRC players. I am sure that he would surprise at few seasoned professionals along the way.

Yes felix is likely much better at this point, but his playstyle is also quite immature he can develope it much further, just like this player. If this chinese penholder keeps up the hard work he can likely surpass felix since his forehand seems to much more open and powerful, in my opinion felix playstyle doesnt really fit penhold grip as he plays like a shakehand player on both wings and almost exclusively drives the ball or fast blocks, not utilizing the flexible wrist of the penhold grip. I think that this players style fits the penhold grip much better and if he continues to gain experience and improves his game I can see him easily surpassing felix lebrun in the future (the age difference doesn't really help things though.
