I got the sense that the Frontman is essentially Gi-Hun. That's one reason he tried to warn him away from digging deeper. The brother was a winner. He went home, and couldn't stand it, started digging, and some how for some reason ended up running the games. He seems to have loyalty to the old man, but now that the old man is dead, perhaps that is where the loyalty ends.

I liked Ali but did not miss him in this trailer. I surely will not assume anything about him "missing" in the trailer. To me, he was sweet but just a stepping stone to finally reveal SangWoo's character.

"Sadness Everdeen" was actually funny but Han-Mi-nyeo should have been either "Great at everything except for the things I can't" or Toilet Girl.

Ali represented the conscience of the people. The moment Sang Woo betrayed Ali meant he had abandoned his conscience.

Regarding the university bit - it’s not the fact that this dude got into a university. It’s about the fact that the university that he got into is SNU! Seoul National University is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world. Any person who got into Seoul will be known let alone someone from a small district!
