damn, this is dope
Jared you're awesome! Both acting and in music...đ€
what?
You're so fucking awesome darling. â€ïžđŠđ·
Omg
I remember back in the '90s hearing that Jared Leto was in a rock band and I thought, 'Oh, great. Another one of those.' He proved to be the exception to the rule. He's even said in interviews that he only acts to fund his music career.
M McBride funny looking back at how his band was then how they are now. He def invested in his band
I've always loved that about him. Music 1st, acting 2nd!
He went to Cali to be in a band and just sort of fell into acting. Acting is definitely his side gig, lol.
Same! Then I heard The Kill and took my words back
I don't believe that for 30 seconds he is a pretty hardcore method actor so he is both but it's ridiculous to suggest that the entire career that made him famous and rich was somehow a side gig. It doesn't even sound like something he would be dumb enough to say
How can he run around and not sound even slightly breathy? Insane.
Another one who is very good maybe even better at it is Maynard James Keenan of Tool
he's morbius, that's why
â@@goonwangdu9676 he was morbin during the run
I was impressed by his voice. Definitely a lead singer voice: it cuts without having to sound nasal. Great intonation. Thanks for introducing me to this artist, Beth.
I respect the crowd interaction so much! Like, I know the man and the band is talented, that's far from a controversial opinion ;) But how he just jumps in there, not afraid of his fans but seems to be super grateful and in turn gives them an experience that they can be super grateful for.
haha right? that was the most in tune crowd I've ever heard. I've been to many Tool shows and nothing is more annoying than being next to someone who is passionately tone deaf.
It was as epic for him as it was for them. Definitely a musician bucket list to be able to control the crowd like that
I can feel that they love him so much..
This is my first time hearing them live, and holy crap i didn't realize how incredible his actual voice is.
If you get a chance to see them live donÂŽt waste it, I just saw them at Lollapalooza in Buenos Aires and it was awsome, certainly one of the highlights of the festival!
I love this band and jared leto is so accessible to his fans, one of the artists who loves his fans
Seen them live twice and even got to briefly meet Jared Leto at an after show poster/cd signing. He was So friendly and Nice! He asked my name and shook my hand. A very cool, kind dude! Why I remain a Fan to this day!
You HAVE TO react 30 Seconds to Mars - Hurricane live Radio Nova performance, itâs ssssooooooo good!!!
I was at this gig. Was like a biblical experience when he ran through that crowd.
Well he does resemble Jesus somewhat, and being a modern rockstar is probably the closest a modern person can come to feeling what being the messiah feels like (minus the unfortunate torture of course).
After those pics of his cult its funny that you say that
@@PalitoSelvatico Echelon for Life. Yes, this is a cult ;)
Jesus is risen and does rock now.
Embarrassing comment.
I always had loved Jared Letoâs voice đ„°
Back in my youthful days (2006+) I used to go see 30STMâŠ..a lot. The guys (even Jared) are the most positives musicians Iâve experienced. If you arrived early enough. Theyâd come and converse with you before the show. And if you hung around after the show. Theyâd come take photos, sign anything, ask what songs youâd like to hear at upcoming shows and just chit chat. It was a pleasure.
I mean I knew from the studio recording that Jared had some pretty nuts vocals but actually seeing him perform live is another level. Heâs insane
I have had the pleasure of seeing 30 Seconds to Mars over 7 times and every time they put on an amazing concert, my favourite parts are the acoustic his voice đđđđ€€đ€€đ€€
I saw them in 2007, the man's voice is absolutely incredible.
The way people respect him to the point where they actual create a path.. the visuals.. the voice...
This man is a force of nature.. AMAZING
He was simply awesome singing this song!! Jared is such a masterful singer!! So talented! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Thanks for this one Beth, one of my favourite songs!đ
I saw them in Newcastle in 2010, Jared was in full voice. Amazing show
I havenât heard of this song in years. I used to replay it so many times when it was released.
I just saw them live at Lollapalooza in Buenos Aires and it was awsome, certainly one of the highlights of the festival!
Lol my friend was the guitarist of the band . Feels weird watching this with him there now
I think he is one of the best singers out there, because he can not only reach those notes, but also in a higher "volume"
Thank you so much for this video, Thirty Seconds to Mars is my absolute favorite band, means so much to me so it's really nice seeing those videos. I've actually missed them in a way quite much lately and the echelon community, feels like a long time. Had promised myself that when I'd turn 18, I'd finally go watch them live but unfortunately they're not touring this year and I can't go to the one show they'll play in Mars Island (the annual mini festival they do and my annual depression as long as I'm not going đ). Anyways, thank you guess for this late Valentine's Day gift (even though I don't celebrate the day wish I had seen it then), loved your reaction and you just got a new subscriber (I literally have subscribed to all vocal coaches that have reacted to 30STM) .đ â€ïžđđ€âïž#maketheworldrockagain
I was watching 30 Seconds to Mars in San Diego once and Jared Leto came out of the crowd. He jumped from the seats behind me and landed almost right on top of me. Gave me a hug and continued to stage. Lol
I don't care what anyone says about him as an actor or person or whatever... this guys voice is soooooo good. I wish he stuck with the hard rock and less pop but... still a great singer.
this song has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, always dug it
One of my favourite bands. Only saw them for the first time in Dublin last year and got to 5 people from the front of the stage...with no one standing behind me??? Probably the last time they will come here.
âHeâs like Jesusâ got me.
Its not jesus who split the ocean..its moses lol
Embarrassing comment.
Myles Kennedy performs "Hallelujah" with Jeff Buckley's Fender Telecaster.
Thanks, I'm going to check that out because of Jeff Buckley's Telecaster!
I thought it was good but not great I just think Jeff Buckley really made that song his. Iâll need Iâm biased but he just had this raw emotion that he put into it that I feel was not relayed the same for Myles Kennedy
first time I ever heard Leto sing was in "My So Called Life" doing a cover of "I wanna be sedated"..even that was freakin cool if memory serves
That show was my introduction to him. When I realized he was the singer, I was so shocked, surprised, and happy. I just thought it was cool, to realize he's the same person. To realize it was him.
I saw them 2010 three times and one of These gigs he must have caught a cold, before....and his voice was, yes maybe a bit soar, but though great!
He's really an insanely great singer in my eyes! đđđđđđđđ
I was a bit iffy about these guys until I saw them live - he's a wonderful performer and really knows how to get the crowd going.
For a decade more or less this band was something. They skipped from small clubs to giant arenas and most people had no idea he could act.
Then he made his first movie in years, won an Oscar, and lost everything in return.
I was a huge fan of his indie movies, all of them very interesting. A part of me wanted his success (he deserved, he IS a great actor), the other part was scared of loosing their music.
That's exactly what happened, and he never acted in a single decent movie either after DBC.
What the fuck.
I think of them as my pop-rock sin. It's impossible to explain to those who weren't there why it was great to be there for people like me. Me, who came across this fantastic channel because you reviewed Dir En Grey. I'm sure you get the difference ... But i loved them for real. And i loved them deeply. Fuck success.
Beth, Iâd love to hear your thoughts on the Falling in Reverse âThe Drug in me is Reimaginedâ
Yessss!!! I was really surprised and I wanna know her thoughts on Ronnie's voice
yes!
Completely agree with this. I came here to comment the same thing đ
Yes!!!
Up
What a valentines gift đđđ heâs one of my big idols đ€đ€đ€
The kill is one of the best songs ever đ„°đ„°đ„°
This song came out when I was in 5th grade. I'm 25 now, and still jam out to it allllll the time. I fucking LOVE 30 Seconds to Mars. â€
Oi Beth
Definitely react to The Pot by Tool cause it is an amazing song with solid vocals
I hope I'll go on their concert someday. They were in my country in 2011 but I was too young and I didn't listen to them back then. I'd like to hear 30stm live more than anyone else đ
My first time seeing 30seconds to mars...was in St. pete Florida...Dude climbed on top of stage...amazing performance.
One of my favorite performances to watch
I remember as a kid going to see TSTM live and playing a acoustic version of this sat in the crowd at the end of the my row
Leto is one seriously talented dude
her voice is so lovely!! đ
We need more 30STM and Beth please! Maybe some of his Unplugged performances?
You should check out the live version of Kings and Queens. Iâve always loved his vocals in the bridge of that song.
Finally, my biggest influence đ Thanks for the reaction Beth â€ïž
I absolutely love your reaction â€ïž
Heâs so amazing!!
Lovely reaction and insights! Happy Valentines!
Ok we need more Mars music that was awesome
Loved this!
Awesome reaction Beth, subbed!!
Been forever since I heard this song.
A lot of bands get burned out on playing their biggest hit at every show for all of their career, but they're really embracing it. Gotta say, that's very cool.
Amazing song choice!
Watching him manipulate a crowd like this makes him saying "we live in a society" make much more sense. If I accomplished everything I ever tried to do, I would also probably fuck up the joker
Wow, what a performer!
Some people are made to work for it and others just have a natural gift and I believe Jared Leto as a natural gift
Saw them in Toronto fuckkkk they are great live
First I thought you say imagine being in the crowd. But imagining being him is reall more powerful. Gave chills all over :D
My favorite band ever !!!
Love jaredâ€â€
Happy Valentine's Day Beth! đ
That was fun!
loved him since my so called life đ„°
Your intro is amazing goddayum!
falling in reverse- the drug in me is reimagined
I will never be able to see or hear him without picture him saying âHUNKA HUNKA!!!!â and âYOU DONâT WANT NO BEEF?!â
Un baterista enorme genial un Vocalista primera voz un grande EXCELENTE banda x Dios
The mans a legend
Everyone else is suggesting it but I want to see it as well. "The Drug In You Is Reimagined"đ
Nice pickđ€đđ
Please react to his acoustic hurricane itâs amazing.
Love Jared Leto !
COLTER WALL: "Kate McCannon" from brewery sessions, "Bob Fudge" or "Transcendent Ramblin' Railroad Blues"
or "Manitoba Man"
Beth, you need to hear the new Devin Townsend song "Why" . So amazing vocals!!
Never knew about Leto, 30 seconds to Mars just rocks
I don't know but i remember that he screaming a lot in that song
Dio Brando Probably too tough for him nowadays.
Itâs more difficult to pull off live. You also have to think about how many times he may have preformed that day. It would put too much strain on his vocal cords.
Love your recognition of natural vocal talent, could you please do K.D. Lang. Any live performance would do her voice always takes you on a journey. My picks would be Hallelujah, Crying, and Constant Craving (her most well known hit). But as I said any song will do as long as it is live.
Why Is Her Voice So Soft And Adorable? đ
Ese Jared Leto es muy buen artistađđšđŽ
That u say u wanted more part gets me every time...
Beth Roars is super CUTE!!!
It DOESN'T get more "rock star" than this!!! and the dude is 50 now!!! đŻđ
Ah. He's now 51. Not much older than I am. I'm 50, born in July 72.
I just found out at work from some of younger ppl..đ Never knew he sang and just heard this song for the 1st time like 3 months ago
To be honest would love it if you reacted to his recorded music instead of live. His distortion and fry is very very unique
Beth says "Imagine being him right now" And I think "Imagine being his security team"
Finally !!!!
Oh wow I was just accidentally early. One good thing about this deployment is the drastic time zone shift
I love this one. I have watched. I have no clue how many videos of yours? And it pains me every time. Because I have a neck injury waiting for surgery. So I can't. Use my full range and I don't know if I'll ever be able to again. But I do enjoy when you get excited. About how people sing. On Jared Leto's case obviously, there's no such thing as someone being tone deaf I mean you can learn to. Hear the notes and hold a note. It just depends on if you do it the right way or the wrong way. The Safeway for the destructive way and sorry for all the periods and all that stuff. But the neck injury comes numb hands, so I can't even play. My violin or any other instrument that I play. And I can play my violin but I don't feel like breaking it. But yeah, he had to go to a vocal teacher like yourself to learn how to Hold the proper note and modify. His voice because for some reason he naturally cannot year the note even with the ear things in so when he's singing he's going on faith alone. That he'll hit the note. That's why he get those long drawn-out notes. It's in his. Videography 30 Seconds to Mars because they always used to sing and play guitar and drums But for some reason he'd hit the note and then it would taper off. . But I do enjoy watching these videos. Thank you.
2:28 thats the french singer Zaz in the crowd, shes amazing btw
I can't unsee "Morpheus" lol.
Please do a reaction on Corey Taylor playing Snuff during his live acoustic gig. That song means so incredibly much to myself and so many more, and would love to see your take on what he is doing in terms of technique, and just to see your reaction to that song played live.
Anything by them I will watch fyi
I am learning just now that Jared Leto is the singer.
Hi, Beth, I just subscribed because I enjoyed several of your reactions, especially to some of the Latin singers. I have some suggestions that you as a voice teacher will really appreciate. First, Marisela singing the country classic âCrazyâ made famous by Patsy Cline, you wonât believe her rendition of this classic which she also sings the Spanish version âLocaâ. Next, one of the best female voices in Mexico today is YURI, singing with Los Angeles Azules âMe Haces Falta TĂș â or her classic âYo Te Pido Amorâ, and last but not least Daniela Romo singing âDe Mi EnamĂłrateâ, written by famous songwriter Juan Gabriel. This one is an amazing piece because she raises her voice several ranges, itâs just amazing. You wonât regret it. Check them out. I love your channel and keep up the good work. Greetings from El Paso, Texas on the border with Mexico.
It's 6 am in Indiana currently. I was about to go to sleep. But then here's Beth... p.s. I'm not complaining đđđ
I knew about Leto from 30s to mars way before him as an actor then my dad told me when I first saw a movie with him starting
