Great vid Christian. I don't have a green Rolex BUT i do have a Green dial Oris Aquis that i find myself staring at alot. I love that sun ray green dial. I also pair it with a Goyard wallet. 💚
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Until I got my first green dial watch, I falsely assumed I love green dial watches. They just don’t do it for me. Perhaps this is why Rolex doesn’t make many. I wouldn’t go as far as to say green is a niche market, but blue, black, and even white just sell more.
The shade of green matters. If it’s a flat green it gets old to look at. But a green that’s richer with depth, can entertain you for a lifetime. The Hulk and the mint green are favorites.

I love this style of video. So personal, so much deeper. If non-watch people are to understand why enthusiasts love watches, they need to appreciate the sentiments behind our feelings towards these mechanical things. I like to say: Flawless new watches are jewellry, but a used older watch is history. There's nothing wrong with buying a watch for flash, for looks, and for recognition, but if you wear it, and ding it up and enjoy it, You're writing your experiences into the watch. When a great watch is handed down, the scratches tell of a unique perspective, from the lens an individual that existed and experienced things that predated you. When I pick up a vintage watch, I feel some intangible connection to the person who wore it. It's probably just me fantasizing about heroic deeds and wholesome memories throughout someone's life, but a great watch should make you think beyond your lifetime, and lead you to live a little differently. Maybe work harder, maybe find courage to venture further. I think that is what a great watch can do, and those stories can only be told like this.

Rolex usually does green very well (notably, the OP, Kermit, and beautiful Day Date in your video). However - and this is an unpopular opinion I am sure - the green used on the Hulk is terrible.
Most people arent cool enough to pull off green. Dnt blame the colour.
