Yesterday I ran over a piece of wood on my Suzuki GZ 250 and it immediately died; it started right back up in neutral but died when I put it in gear. I knew it was the kickstand kill switch. I'm no mechanic so I got on You Tube looking for someone that had the expertise to help me. I saw numerous videos on the problem all saying to trace the switch wire to it's connection, etc. That was impossible on my bike; the wire was untraceable. Your video solved my problem with the easiest solution!! Thank you so much for posting it and saving my day!! Mark Barry

Glad I could help! I was in a similar situation myself before and had to dig into the wiring diagram to figure out how it worked. Only after doing about half dozen did I figure out they were all similiar/the same.

The bike in the video is a Suzuki Bandit 1200 but this method would apply for a SV650 as well!
