Gina, I really enjoy your periodic nature shots that you see when you’re out running with Al. Kudos!
Brutus is such a good boy, especially for being a pup. He is just the cutest thing. Such a wonderful personality
Brutus enjoyed his trip on the trails. What a good boy Gina is in her happy place. 😊
@Gina and Al... I was "Mr. Safety" in the Coast Guard... Safety First young man, you brought out and wore the chaps to cut down the first tree... and then they were too [Excuse here]. I was stationed on the Coast Guard Cutter Kanawha and we worked on the Mississippi River and chainsaws were used quite often! Stay safe Al and Gina! You can replace the chaps but not your 🦵🏼🦵🏼!
ALL MY OTHER YOU TUBBERS USE THERE CHAPS, IT’S MUCH SAFER. AL USE YOUR CHAPS😮😢😮
Well... I hate to say it... but, in all my years of working in the woods cutting trees and firewood I've never seen anyone cut their leg. It must happen sometimes, or they wouldn't have invented them, but I've never seen it happen. I've known a person or two that cut their face (distracted, a little lax perhaps), one a finger, one guy (with a hardhat on) got hit in the head with a tree limb (twice in one day), one guy had a tree kickback and hit him in the chest, but never seen a leg cut. My preferences are to know your path and run away from a falling tree, and pay attention while you're cutting.
I grew up around strong men and the saying was..."real men don't wear gloves "
I am 51 and for decades I have been part of felling trees and I have never seen anyone wear any type of safety gear until I have watched CZcams.
...maybe real men don't wear chaps...?
To be honest - who cares what he decides to do?! Al, you do you. Doesn't look like this is your first time with a chain saw.
@@catherineahrens6907 Unless you pile lumber, then real men will wear gloves... much of the time 😏
Not where I live they don't
Dedication and down-to-earth approach make you a favorite. Congrats!
Good Morning Al,Gina and Brutus! The birch trees seem to be the tree that suffers most from wind damage. Brutus seems to have liked his adventure!
The birch trees have grown tall and perhaps a little too spindly. Were hey crowded when the area was neglected and perhaps this made them grow too tall for their trunk strength. Perhaps if the land comes under better, active management this problem might reduce.

i don't know if you see it but brutus is getting to be giant of a dog every time a video come out he grows considerably if he keeps growing like this he'll be bigger than the cows dave from ct
Yes, loi, I am surprised at his growth with every video. He'll be close to 200 lbs by the time he stops growing. Great protection for Al & Gina, too. Such a good boy.
Brutus will grow to over 140 pounds, minimum, Al said so first day, it's about time for his final vet visit for shot and get weighed !
Brutus did real well staying close by while you were out in a different location from his home base. Well done. Gina, you have an amazing eye for spotting wild life when you are out....the bee, the frog, and the snake. Your scenic views of the streams are so relaxing as well. Thanks so much for sharing these sights on your property. As always Al, you do a great job explaining the use for all your gadgets. That saw holder is something everyone needs. Y'all have a Blessed day.

Hello David.
Greetings from Wisconsin! Drinking some yummy dark roast coffee from Lumnah Acres while I watch the new video.
FYI Chipmunks don't have dens, they have burrows underground.
Good to know!
@kevinstenholm40 ~ I watched a black snake -- about 5' long -- come all the way out of the woods behind my house and make his way across the backyard to the hole in the ground where the chipmunks used to disappear underneath my patio. I thought to myself, "Well, there go the baby chipmunks," knowing the parents had two or three tunnels to escape, but the little ones didn't, depending on how old they were. How many broods do they have in a season? I hated it for the "pinkies" but knew there would be others to replace them.

He is a lgd not a pet per say. Don't take him away from his animals. He will get confused. He needs to have boundaries. He should guard his at night.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Al should contact Kevin at Hidden Heights Farm as to how they handle the LGD

Good night from Elmwood Wisconsin after a beautiful day. Good night viewers. I'm glad you're cleaning up the trees that have fallen over. Grapple bucket sounds like a plan! Brutus looks happy in the side by side. Too bad it's a pretty Birch tree that came down. That would be cool if you could chip it too. I heard a tree fall down in the backyard during a rain storm here and yesterday I helped my friend clean it up. She ran the chainsaws and I stacked some of it. Rats, ticks! I got one 3 days ago and I found it as I showered and I was lucky in that it didn't have it's head into me! Nice to see Tanner during the coffee promotion. I'm a dark roast! That's a great way to clean up a tree. Wow, that stump looked hard to get! Strawberries! Bumblebee! Turkey dinner in the woods. Nice idea to use the winch to pull down the trees. Brutus looks happy tagging along. Nice picture of the toad! That's a lot of Birch trees. Brutus finds something to chew. Nice, chain holder for pulling things. Great, a chainsaw holder too. Toolbox! nice storage system. Snake! Garden beads. Thanks for showing them Gina! I like the pins to lock the attachments onto the brackets. Cool system. Nice upgrades on the tractor Al! Thanks for this video Lumnah family!
Converting the mini truck is doable. Ez-go produces a motor that can push it. All you need is a adapter plate and a shaft adapter for the transmission.
Looks like there's room under the bed for the batteries...

Before you cut those birch trees down: tap them for birch sap. It is an awsome sweetener.
Always had logging chain hanging off the back of the 4020 and 4420. We didn't worry about trees too much for our fields. We would just pull them into the bush. Also all of our land was pretty much cleared so tree lines were the only places where we had to deal with them. Always had the tool box stuffed full or tools. Pliers and hammer and crescent were essential as was some baling wire to wire up spots with missing bolts or broken stuff, just to get it home. One farm was 2.5 miles north of the other farm. We did not go home unless we absolutely had to. Dad's oldest kids were my brother and I so he had drivers to shuttle back and forth for tools, bearings, tires. Truck had gas cans and a diesel tank on it so we were never short on fuel. Your video brought up memories. Thanks!
Good morning from Mid- Coast Maine. Just pile up some of the brush for the small game. Rabbits keep the coyotes away from your livestock. Great video. Mike from Maine.

Gooooooood Morning Australia. Thanks once we get it running good I think it should be
G'day mate just wanted to compliment you on your excellent carpentry
You know? You can go get a bag of Sol powder from the bean store and put it in a sock in this. Try not in it, and then take it bump it against your legs. And the ticks don't like it, and it's not harmful to you art of the dogs
Good morning!! Hate ticks!
Gosh Brutus is getting really big!
All your hard work is paying off, it looks wonderful! Al, you do live your toys and tools!
When your out in the woods where there's ticks tape your bottoms of your jeans tightly shut and it will stop the ticks from going up your legs. With all the hair Brutus has he's a tick magnet and I hope you check him for ticks every day.
Gooooooooood afternoon, Lumnahs!
I liked seeing the local wildlife, even the snake. I feel sorry for the turkey, too, but that’s nature when an animal isn’t at the top of the food chain.
Al, you’re always getting neat tools! I think the saw boss is pretty nifty, and if you combine the tool box with the bin holder, you’ll be prepared for anything!
Oh it is Great seeing Tanner I miss him❤ plus I hope Pluto is doing well ❤️
As a Marine Biologist in the Southern US I used Avon skin so soft as an insect repellent. It works great on gnats, yellow flies and horse flies. It works so-so on mosquitos.
I had a mark on the back of my hand for years from a horse fly bite. I can't see what good use comes from having them
JudithB I have to clean small trees off our driveway asap, but my electric chainsaw wont reach that far out. I got new ratchet pruners a couple of months ago and they will take care of alot of the mess. I got a trailer dolly last month and its still in the box! It will be handy moving the trailers around, particularly the wood splitter. It will be handy when the mower is down to move and use the yard trailer too. Looks to me that moving all your equipment and parking it around the shop would save a lot of jockeying around when you start mowing too.
So glad you have a place to be able to take the chain saw with you on the tractor. It just makes sense.
Good morning, and have a wonderful day

Hello there, Elizabeth!
Good plan about George and Miles….we bought 4 for our farm…they were unload-in the front out the back ..into the woods…looked for weeks…then rumor reached us…”thanks for the meat”
Well, dang!
Apologies for being pedantic but it's Myles.
It's incredible how even if we live in totally different places, like at the opposite side of the world, we experience almost the same climate and climate change!
We're getting so many storms, draught periods, unusual temperatures... it's ridiculous but even terrifying, and makes gardening or diy so much more difficult!
You guys are definitely incredible to be doing everything you do without ever complaining! 😂
I don't know much about climate change, but could the fact that the three biggest polluters, America, Africa and China are spaced fairly equally around the world ?
@derekbarratt I feel we all contribute to it, but not many countries are doing anything useful, especially the biggest ones.
And if you really look into it, we all have different laws, different ways of doing things, different materials, in every country is even different how they price certain things... I've seen that it's impossible to some of us to be eco-friendly if they keep rising prices, while in other countries they make things a lot easier to do it.
It all comes down to money in the end.
Trail cleanup now is more efficient than when ya'll first acquired the property. I love the chainsaw buckets for tractors/side bys/ 4 wheelers. Everything is looking fantastic! Love ya'll ❤️

I do not drink decaf!
Coffee is good anytime
I used to be able to drink coffee anytime too. Now I have to have decaf because caffeine started giving me heart flutters.
Gina I wrote a whole note but it disappeared so a suggestion is get yourself some head protection. Find a brimed hat you can use with bug netting to tuck into your clothes. Protect from insects of all kinds to keep them away from your head. One less thing to worry about as you watch for ticks around your legs, etc.
It didn't disappear! And I added a suggestion 🙂 Blessings on your week!

All I could think while Al was cutting up those trees was. Man look at all the wood for making hot water. Lol
I imagine a daily brushing of Brutus is done but after a day in the woods & watching Gina pick a tick... Our collies were tick magnets with their bushy coats and every summer evening we groomed them for ticks. We know so much more now about something that was just a given 50 years ago.
Lots of trees fell over. Good job to have done. Brutus is really growing. Be nice having the saw with you if needed.

Al, you were the first... The first to load a grapple by hand??? Most, no, all the folks with a grapple, pick up the branches with the grapple, put them into a pile, then grab the whole pile, and move it to where you want it. So my question( not that you ever answer them) is why hand load it, kinda defeats the purpose of having/using one!

Al, I talked to a friend today who has a Kei truck. Told him about yours and that you'd like to add four wheel drive to it. He said that the best way to get all of the parts needed for this change would be to get a parts truck and switch over the drive system so that you have the four wheel drive parts. Buying all the parts needed for the change over from the market is almost impossible and might cost more than you paid for you truck. The other modification that you want is a lot easier. wheels and tires and a lift kits can be purchased. Check for parts companies for these pieces.
