A lazio fan, who was in the M**solini party was quite rich. And he didnt want to see his team being aold to the ennemy so he bought lazio and avoid lazio sold. The deal was to make the team near the italian power under the f*schist Italy. Dont say that we were M*ssolini team. We only had a president who worked with him. Played for Roma back in 2001 (primavera). As a North American, I’ve never seen anything like this rivalry. Probably the most passionate in all of football. If you don’t believe come to Rome for the week leading to the game and then attend the game. I wouldn’t bring my family to the stadium that day.

I just lived this derby, its fucking amazing, i would love too see it again. The score was 2-2 Roma was down 2-0 and when Roma scored the 2nd goal, everyone for Roma went mental, its an amazing experience!

Man you have to come to Rome one day and experience it. Unfortunately today it’s not as heated as it was back in the early 2000’s or 90’s or 80’s, but you will still feel the incredible tension there is
Apart from the violence that makes this derby notorious, the stands are usually beautiful with loads of waving flags and banners across the stadium instead of being concentrated on one part of the stadium only, it's a joy to watch just that alone.

As someone said in this documentary, Roma is the easy team to support in Rome. They are more in numbers and way more protected by media and politics. Roma fans support Roma to not feel left out. Lazio fans pick Lazio because of the history and the values. Lazio embodies values that are not proper of just simple fans but more of a population. Also Roma represents the uneducated, small minded mentality that is pretty present in a very locally focused mentality in the city. Lazio represents a more aristocratic spirit of the city of Rome. The two factions are different in style, values and mentality and that's why the derby is a so violent and puts two very distant factions against each other.

What an anticlimax. All that building up and then just jump to Eli saying it was 0-0 and that it was the most intense atmosphere ever. Not impressed by the few images that they did film.
I have to say that it is very rare that the rome derby ends goalles. But still, it's rare that there are good games with a lot of goals and shots.

Danielazio Not what I meant at all. They were just building up so much tension and excitement about the derby before the match that I thought it was gonna be super exciting. But then they showed a couple of clips of the fans singing (not as impressive as I thought it would be, still not bad though!) and they showed NOTHING from the game itself which was the most disappointing part. They kind of just cut to the end of the game where he was saying "THAT WAS CRAZY" or something. And I don't care what HE THINKS, I want to see for myself. A little less conversation and a little more action please.
