I know what you mean, another video with Tom talking about the darkness i saw a comment chain on there about people insulting a show and one another, and that just shows the ignorance in people. They don't see things in a deeper or broader view, and because of that, there is disagreements, fights, and worse. I think these messages that Tom has worked hard to share should be seen by more and more people and hopefully they would abandon their ignorance and look at things differently.

He told the audience he got the heart early Saturday from a group of children that where in the audience. Way to support equality even when he's not our favorite host.
I still remember seeing this a decade ago when I was a kid. Somehow I remembered this lesson and it had a profound impact on me even to this day. Thank you, Toonami.

This is why we see so many celebrities and politicians and so forth that turn out to be degenerate assholes possibly law breaking ones revealed all the time. People earn respect and thus deserve it, and no one is entitled to respect regardless of their position in life. "Respect" and giving it is a lot more than simply not being a jackass to people the moment you meet them, it's an intrinsic inseparable part of a human being.

although i love how toonami would use promos like this to teach good lessons, i don't agree with the whole "earning respect" part. I believe in simply giving respect to those around us, no matter what they've done. that doesn't mean always hanging out with them or giving them things after being treated horribly. it just implies that people should be shown a level of respect no matter what.
You see, while that would be ideal it isnt practical because we are not perfect, and its true that some are not deserving if enablement. This is especially the case with people who suffer from delusion, it can expedite unfavorable outcomes. The influence of the world is not always good, and we need to know what to resist how to give respect where it needs given, that way we prosper growth positively, and set a standard based on stable foundations. This of course doesnt mean we should punish or be unforgiving, but willing to learn and accept
