- Hello everyone and welcome to my channel! My name is Randi. I live in California with my husband and our two fur babies, Cali and Ace. We finally had a break in the cold and rain to get outside and clean up the patio and do a little spring clean up and maintenance .

I couldn't see you throwing these excess of trimmings, here in my country no one will give for free 😢, they will replant 🌿 & sell it. The garden is lovely very cool to relax ❤❤❤
I am looking forward to getting outside but we still have a good 3 ft of snow in the yard and 5 to 6 ft where it was plowed or shoveled. Unless we get a lot of snow or the temps take a drop the snow should be gone in 4 to 6 weeks, currently we are getting 12 hours of light a day but gaining about 6 minutes a day. Last night we had a beautiful dancing Aurora show and it went from 2 strps of blues and greens to one wide strip that took up a large portion of the skin with some purple in the color mix. I guess we are blessed even though we still have so much snow.

Beautiful.Makes we wish for warm weather, still chilly here in Pa. Put hosta and ferns in your shade walkway area. Or flowers that like shade in pretty colorful pots. Dogs wont get to them hopefully. Bleeding hearts, toad lilly, lungwort,trillium,lilly of the valley, etc
All of my favorite plants, but they don’t grow here. It’s too hot and dry. 😩

I know it seems messy but if you don’t bag your grass and mow every week, your lawn will be way more healthy because it adds organic matter regularly. I do this in so cal and once I water after mowing, the grass bits just disappear into the turf. I didn’t need to use fertilizer ever again. Thank for this video.

Hi Randi, your backyard is a lil’ slice of heaven! So tranquil and welcoming... anxious to get outside and start Spring clean up and planting. Isn’t it funny how we rearrange furniture and such to only find out we like it better just the way it was, lol... nice to see you and your hubby working together! Also love your fence. We’re looking into something similar to keep the dogs off of the pool cover, our puppy thinks it’s a big green trampoline... won’t she be surprised to discover a big “cement pond” when we open the pool this year, lol!! 😂

I live in Southern California as well and boy with all the rain we are getting so much weeds and mess to clean up. I am looking forward to some warmer weather. Looks good 👍 the yard is on my agenda for clean up as well. Thankfully my sister helped me a bit before the rain came to get a jump on the weeds. I'll be doing some planting some but for now I've started some seedlings indoors till the weather settles 😊

Your outdoor space looks so nice and inviting. Sometimes I wish we could get all of our outdoor seasonal cleaning done in a day. We live in the country just south of Atlanta, GA. We are in what we like to call yellow season. Pollen is all over everything and everyone. It is coming to an end but we too are also getting a ton of rain. We have 2 acres fenced in for the backyard and 1 acre in the front. Our back screened porch is full of dog hair, dead bugs and pollen. It all needs so much work. Yard is in desperate need of mowing but it keeps raining.We kept our back half of the yard growing with clover so that our bees could get a jump on making their food. We have already reached over 80 degrees here, but we do get the occasional day in the 60s with all of the rain. Your video has me inspired to maybe at least get a start on my plant room. Removing old leaves, repotting some larger plants and feeding some of the plants as well. My husband has gotten a start on the plants for his raised beds by starting seeds in his 3 aerogardens. Thanks for the inspiring video.
Working outside isn’t really work for me…when the weather is nice. 😂 It’s so rewarding to the transformation!
@27 Fox Place we have rain coming for the next 3 days here in GA. So we did our shrub trimming and picking it all up. I love our big leaf blower, I feel so powerful. Haha. It takes my husband 2 hrs of mowing on the riding mower, and edged the yard. I wish we weren't so muggy, it would have been more enjoyable. We were going to harvest some honey this morning before the rain. But the bees hadn't capped the comb yet. So I am working on some crochet items for friends and waiting for the storm to get here.

Hi Randy, yes Spring is my favourite season.Geraniums don’t ‘over winter’ here in London, we need to start fresh again unless we store them in the shed.It’s really not worth it as they never look as good as when you buy new. Just a side note ,where plants don’t grow( where you have a path ,wh don’t you turn that area into just a wider path? (only a suggestion) .Have a pleasant weekend .
We've had the same Geraniums for years. It may be the cold weather keeping them from blooming. 🤷🏼♀️ I read they bloom on new growth. If it doesn't work, I'll replace them. Thanks for the suggestion !
@@27foxplace Maybe some plants that like shade? But although the side yard doesn’t get sun, it may still get hot. If you put pavers over the whole side yard, you could get pots.

Next time you trim succulents do not throw the pieces away. You can easily root them to get more plants instead of trashing them.

Eu não tenho quintal, o terreno da minha casa é bem pequeno e é todo construido, só planto algúmas plantinhas medicinais em vasos e deixo na minha garagem que é na frente da casa e nela tem sofá, uma mesa, cadeiras, é tipo uma sala, e é fechada em cima também com telhado, e tenho uma lavanderia nos fundos da casa que também é toda fechada e tem uma abertura no teto que é uma área de ventilação e tem grade, mas, mesmo nossas casas sendo bem diferentes, as tarefas domésticas são meio que, a mesma coisa, mudando apenas que você tem lava louça e eu não kkkkk eu que sou a máquina 🤷♀️e também seco as roupas nos varais que ficam na garagem.Amo assistir seus vídeos! We have a couple of giant slugs on our patio right now, never saw such things before, about the size of a cigar. Ugh but I won't kill them just going to get.husband to relocate them.

Очень полезное видео.Мы живём в России.Сейчас только сошёл снег и мы очень хотим быстрее поехать в свои загородные дома. У нас 12 соток и большой дом с летней верандой, баней и подсобным помещением. Много работы! Но хочется быстрее навести там порядок и в выходные дни приезжать отдыхать и конечно работать! Фруктовые деревья, цветы, огород ждут наших рук! Удачи вам в работе и отдыхе!😊

Hi Randi! Your outdoor space and yard is lovely. Would you happen to know the name of the plants in between your stepping stones?
Ophiopogon japonicus or dwarf mondo grass. It spreads slowly and easy to contain. it can be confused with Liriope spicata which is larger and invasive.
I never knew calla lilies could be considered pesty weeds lol. I used to work in a flower shop and it cost $10 per CL in an arrangement bc we had to special order them.
I love them! But they can pop every where! 😂
@@27foxplace I really enjoy your videos. I moved down to Orlando, Florida a few months ago. I'm staying wth my sister and family until I get my own place. She has four littles under the age of 6 and is a bit of a hoarder. I'm slowly but surely helping her declutter, especially kid's clothes OMGoodness the kid's clothes LOL. Anyway, I watch your videos if I get overwhelmed and tired. They are relaxing, soothing and motivating at the same time. Just seeing the stress leaving my sister's body is worth all the tedious work. On a side note, I am surprised you are having cool weather in the SD area. It's was down right chilly around the Disney area Christmas weekend and cool again last week, like in the 40's&50's. Now we are in the 90's the next few days. Anyway, thank you for what you do and the inspiration! Have a great weekend!

Why does it matter if rain is coming insofar as your power-washing goes? I didn't get that part of your story. What are the white pipes near the reclining pig piece?
The rain will bring more dirt. Better to wait a week or two. We have a sprinkler system.
