Super excited to see the finished product in a few weeks Tal! Those banana trees will spread like crazy you'll have your own little tropical jungle. You just need to cut off an old tree once the fruit has been harvested, and then it will create a new offshoot and will grow a new tree.

Bananas are good but they propagate real fast. Sooner or later your property would be crowded by bananas, though you would enjoy the fruits. Hope it is the Saba Variety or Latundan.
Plant coconuts too but for the spacing make it 7-10 meters apart ideally. Then try planting Moringa/Malungay. It's low maintenance and good for your health too

I know it is more expensive but being that close to water and future typhoons, I would use concrete and rebar, even for the roof. My wife just rebuilt her old parents house and built 2 bedroom 1 bath all of which is concrete, no second floor but you can also have rooftop area for lounge as it has concrete roof..I think her and her brother spent around 12k. good luck

Shalom! Happy to see that your house is getting into shape. Good progress. Your small house reminds me of my Lola and Lolo’s old house in Bulacan. I spent most of the summers in that house back in the days. Now it is no longer there. Your house sits on a piece of paradise 😊 Mazel Tov

Insulation, that doesnt seem to be very common in Filipino houses. The interior is looking very nice.

You should start planting banana with the small banana not those matured one. Matured bananas Will not bear fruit anymore. Besides do not let your banana go wild with so many siblings in one area . Take out the new bananas when it is already over 3 bananas to have a better result or big bunch of bananas. You can’t eat them all. Follow the rules of grandfather, father and son. Always 3 grown banana at a times. Bill from Florida.

That’s too many banana trees only for that area you point. 3-5 banana trees in that area are enough. More and more banana trees will sprout from those in few months.
