  • A quick look at what I carry in my belt pouch. The belt pouch is a very underrated piece of kit that could very well save your life in an emergency situation. Put together in the right way, this hip pouch can go a long way in adding convenience and piece of mind in a wilderness setting.

Your flint and steel got me to subscribe. 👍🏼👍🏼
I made my first f/s fire in 1967 when I was eight years old. My Cub Scout Troop had the fire booth at the Scout-O-Rama that summer.
We made fire every half hour for three days.
    I’ve been hooked ever since.
It’s my first choice for fire in the wilderness. There’s just something about it, like a zen quality.
I like a good belt pouch also. All my belt pouches contain a whistle and signal mirror. I also like to have a small toothbrush.

Great additions! Thank you for subscribing. Flint and steel is definitely a fun way to make fire.

I have about twenty skinny ferrocerium rods about the size of a uco match. I like to put one in all of my match kits. I like to add a trick birthday candle as well.

Thank you for sharing the contents of your belt pouch. Nice pouch which seems to be a good size for belt carry. The inventory of items carried in you belt pouch (possibles bag) seems to be well thought out and useful in the woods. Gos bless y’all- Tennessee Smoky

I've used other sizes in the past and for me they were just too big. This is a very nice size. Having one just gives me even more peace of mind knowing I have some items that can help in an emergency and they are just nice to have easily accessible. 👍

Starting is the hardest part, with enough practice and better tools youll get faster i can get one done in about an hour or so if i have all the materials ready. And making haversacks isnt much harder just more time consuming ive made leather haversacks aswell

Just a suggestion, but I wouldn't tie those small pouches inside your pouch. If your hands are cold it makes it very difficult to untie.
