Summer Fishing Camp | Overnight In An Ultralight Cape Shelter | FULL LOADOUT
Lightweight is definitely the way to go in the summer months. With a new shelter to test out, I decided to head out on an overnight fishing trip.
Unfortunately, no fish were biting. I tried several different lures, but still nothing.
It's always a good idea to go ahead and pack some backup food just in case this happens. After setting up camp and fishing for a while, I settled in to cook up some chicken and rice.
Spent the night next to the lake and woke up to some coffee and a bit more fishing before heading off to work.
The Onewind Solitary Ultralight Cape Shelter performed fantastic! Thanks, Onewind!

Overnight Stealth Camping Behind Chipotle with my "Get Home Bag"

This video captures my first stealth camping trip! Stealth camping has been on my bucket list for a while now, and I can't wait to find some more places to spend the night in the city. This was a location that I've been looking at for quite some time, and I finally decided to pull the trigger on it. The weather was fantastic, and I stayed comfortable all night long in my hammock. 3 Fire Starting Methods To Consider Adding To Your Outdoor Fire Kit

These techniques are great to know, especially if you plan on being in the backcountry for extended periods of time. The ferrocerium rod will last for thousands of fires and is very easy to use. As long as you can harvest the materials from the land, you will have fire indefinitely, so long as the su...

Thanks for joining me on this short overnight camping trip at a lakeside campground! In this video I wanted to get away for the night, cook up a simple meal, and just sleep under a tarp. Living in a city doesn't have to mean you can't get outdoors. There are plenty of great areas in and around major metropolitan areas to get out, relax, and practice some skills. Springtime Haversack Loadout for Simple Overnight Camping Trips (Modern Gear)

This is a haversack that I would use during the spring and summer months. Though this kit is lightweight, it still covers all the bases for a simple and quick overnighter. A lot of people (myself included) have a tendency to take more than they need if there is extra room in a pack. The good thing about a haversack is that the size requires you to be intentional about what you bring. If you hav...

I really don't understand this haversack phase. It just seems like a not very comfortable way to carry gear. Ive seen guys use bags they owned to go camping. I just don't understand why anyone would choose a little bag over a small backpack. The price of hidden woodsman would have my wife murder me. I have a 27liter condor backpack. I got that because molle straps i can make my pack go from overnight to a 3day or more. I can understand a haversack for a day hike but overnight is really not making sense to me. But lots of stuff lately i don't get. Like ultra light backpackers. Very nice bag just not my jam i guess.
@@richardhenry1969 it's not uncomfortable at all, in my opinion. With this one in particular, I wouldn't be hiking in any long distance. The smaller haversacks that I use are for day hike situations and are very light. I've camped in those just to see how the night would go if you had to stay overnight.
Yes I love to get out like this! Basically I’m a loner, love nature. Enjoyed your talk and relaxing bushcraft day camp. Carry a belt kit possibles pouch, small haversack and rucksack. The fat wood is a must, also like to harvest it if I can. That bacon smells good!😊

Your flint and steel got me to subscribe. 👍🏼👍🏼 I made my first f/s fire in 1967 when I was eight years old. My Cub Scout Troop had the fire booth at the Scout-O-Rama that summer. We made fire every half hour for three days. I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s my first choice for fire in the wilderness. There’s just something about it, like a zen quality. I like a good belt pouch also. All my belt pouches contain a whistle and signal mirror. I also like to have a small toothbrush.
Great additions! Thank you for subscribing. Flint and steel is definitely a fun way to make fire.
Nice successful stealth camp, bud. The edc torch is decent, isn't it! You will find out if you keep it in your pocket daily as I do. Thebtf on the button will ware off eventually. Take it easy fella.
Thanks for watching! I've had it in my pocket daily for a few weeks and it's been great so far. Take it easy.
An adventurous outing, however))) But everything went smoothly)) Excellent!
Everything went really well. 👍

Welcome to the Stealth Camping Club!
😁 I'm looking forward to doing these more. Thanks for watching, bro!
What a beautiful spot, especially for being open to free, public camping. If you don't mind camp meals from a can, one of those little bushcraft cooking grates/grills and a can of Spam (plus some instant grits) makes for a wonderful dinner.
I'll have to try that out. Thanks! This place is definitely a great spot for being free camping. The only thing I dislike about campsites so close to the water is the dew buildup in the morning.
@@awayinthewilderness4319 Yeah, it's definitely a trade off. If you like tostadas, you can slice the Spam, cook it up until the outside gets a little crisp on it, and then top it with grits, or cheese, or even beans and go to town with a fork. It makes a mighty fine meal if you don't feel like chopping the Spam up and tossing it into a canteen cup of carbs.
Anytime we get a hunker down and a Chipotle burrito in a video is a good time. I worked predominantly midnight shift when I was a cop and the world comes alive in an entirely different, quiet kinda way in the depths of night. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks for watching my friend! I plan on doing some more stealth videos in the future. It was really fun. 👍✌️

Can you convert a haversack into a concealed carry
Not sure exactly what you mean?
If I wanted to carry a handgun in the sack, could an opening on the side or back of the sack could be created so the weapon could be drawn.

Thank you for your video and your ideas.
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated ✌️
Check out the description for links to an awesome fire kit! ✌️
But the question is then, how to start the fire to make the flint ? 🧐
What I charred was just some 100% cotton. You could char other things as well, but certain fungus will take a spark from flint and steel straight from the environment without being charred. The Flint is the rock. Also quartz, chert, or anything that has a hardness above 7, I believe will work. Thanks a lot for watching and taking the time to comment. Perhaps a tinder source video would be a good idea in the future. 👍
I don't think you even need the hole. All you are trying to do is prevent it from exploding from hot gas but also prevent enough air for full combustion. The lid isn't air tight but restricts air flow
I think you're probably right. It would probably escape through the hinges. I think I more do it out of habit. I do have some Altoids tins that I have charred in without putting a hole. Thanks for watching!
Nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Lol...... Love you💖💓
