    Please consider ballast weight or fluid filled tires to be safer lifting those heavy loads!

    This is a fine piece of equipment. I purchased mine was last year. The one issue to look for are the hydraulic hoses that get scuffed, scratched and crush if careful and slow approach is not taken. I wrapped mine with ties to the frame and wrapped them in heavy duty hydraulic hose protection.

      I’m waiting for my Wicked 55 to be delivered (probably around April). What type/brand of hose protectors did you get? I’ve been looking at various types and can’t figure out which would be best

    Looks nice. Ordered mine last month. Hoping to get before end of Sept. Any regrets on the clam shell versus the long bottom? I ordered the long bottom Wicked Root Grapple versus the rake. But man I am not sure which one i want. Everyone who has a long bottom swears by them and wouldn't change for anything. Of course everyone who has the clam short bottom also swears by them and wouldn't take a long bottom one. ha. What say you?

    • @ocho27hd

      Did you end up liking your “long bottom” grapple? I’m on the fence about either one too!?

    • @spartanhunter6269
      @spartanhunter6269 Před rokem

      @@ocho27hd Mine is great, but with hindsight, I would not go long bottom again. It is clear for my application (hunting property) that the claw would of been better. On my trails, hunting shooting lanes, etc. you need a lot more room to navigate with the long bottom to get under things to pick them up. Whereas with the clam I could just push up close and clamp down to grab. I also think some of the re-enforced clams can push through brush and stuff to open brushy areas up. I dont regret my purchase and it is great to have but if i started over right now I would get the shorter bottom clam type.

      @@spartanhunter6269 hey thank you so much for that insight. I literally spoke to a salesman “Rusty” at EA today and he told me almost the same thing you said. I’m very much convinced now to get the rake style. I was leaning more on the long one but after two years(on off) of saving and researching I’m ready to pull the trigger this week. Thanks again!

    Do you have rear tires loaded with liquid ballast? Surprised how much you can lift and keep back wheels on the ground with no weight on 3pt for ballast
