You should listen to Hindi Dubbed songs of your favorite South songs, they killed all the great songs, that's why North Indians aren't aware of such Masterpieces, I come to know when I Visit Telangana and then I realised how bad they make songs in dubbed version, only songs they didn't kill were from I and Bahubali and Sahoo and KGF, I felt very bad when I came to know about Sid Sriram that such great singers aren't popular in North, I recommended Sid Sriram to my every friend

This song was recorded in the studios of Mumbai. The starting note of the song starts with violin to bring that strong violin note Maestro Ilayaraja used 100 violinists and made them to play with sync. SPB sir in one of his interview told ilayaraja sir was so sharp that he was able to identify even one of the musician among that hundred make any mistake and he was pointing out correctly and asking them to play in sync...
Fun fact: the in between Tamil poem was there in higher secondary exams and everyone got 10 marks because of this song!!

They won't - Raaja's songs are all about melody and grow on you. They only want rhythm based songs that sound great at the first listen - the catchy stuff. Sound is not the same as music.

Swarnalatha's voice attracts me first. Of course SPB too. But I always wonder how her voice suits all songs. Let it be peppy, folk, melody or pathos, she rocks everything.

I have seen the shooting of this song. This is shot at Melukote (On the way to Mysore from Bangalore). Its the same location as Aishwarya's song in Guru Movie.
I remember Rajnikanth wearing bright turmeric yellow pants and Scarlet Red shirt. But in the video it does not look as bad as it was in actual.
Please watch the movie, Its a gangstar flick called "Thalapathi" (1991).
Keep in mind that this song was composed all his mind and he wrote notes within 30 minutes. Unlike other composers, Ilaayaraja sits in a dark room, plays all in his head, writes notes, all by himself, without actually playing any instrument. Then distrubutes notes. He hears it the first time when the orchestra plays it using the notes.
