great review thanks leo !
Thank you for the review, I find your videos to be very informative.
Good review. Missing more reviews from Leo, specially the ones on cases.
its a great looking laptop, really like the design overall. seems quite capable too for gaming. ideal business and gaming machine combo.
Great review Leo. What a super laptop
That oled looks amazing. Want one in my next laptop
That’s a really nice screen. I’ve seen one similar before. Great colours and clarity.
It really is!
good one Leo!
good review
It's very impressive how far gaming laptops have come. Cant believe they have managed to package so much into such a thin chassis.
Interesting benchmark results! How is it scoring so well on 3d mark CPU profile?
That screen is just lovely.
You cannot go wrong with OLED unless you manage to get burn in.
That OLED looks stunning, 120hz Variable refresh, me want!
Love Leo's use of language so nice to hear a review in proper English.
what?
He's got a home counties news reader accent very clear and a good vocabulary.
Get a room lol
BBC news reader voice 👌🏻
That’s a lovely size. Great screen. Decent keyboard and spec. Real real shame there is not another nvme slot for another drive. 😢
Good review. Might buy it. 😮
let us know if you do, share your findings and opinions with us
Good design this one. It’s not as shouty as other gaming laptops and wouldnt look out of place in a work environment.
thats a really good spec, much better than the macbook I got recently, but im too tied into MacOS for work, which is a shame as id like to game a bit on it too.
I love how you do ads XD
Nice to see the latest gen Intels dont seem to have anymore stability issues.
Isnt that booster a feature of the hp omen software a bit pointless? Surely a game will just tell windows it wants top priority anyway?
Weird there is only one slot for SSD. That’s an oversight imo.
Those 1% lows are a bit low... does the power to the CPU under gaming load go down? Because it scored high on individual CPU benchmarks and top on memory (but latency wasn't shown), so those lows shouldn't be that low.
Perfectly agreed. I imagine thos3 would be upsetting during gameplay, especially for longer sessions or higher ambient. Thermals seem to be an issue here
The rtx 4050 version would be my perfect laptop for playing Geforce Now Ultimate 👌
The cooling solutions laptop manufacturers have to come up with is insane it seems unfair they have to deal with both a core i7 ultra and an rtx 4060.
Really looking forward to the day when OLED replaces all LCDs then we can look forward to microleds replacing OLEDS.
For 1800$ you should be able to buy decent mobility laptop PLUS better gaming PC. Since laptop gaming is generally oxymoron. You will need power socket after an hour or two depending on game and battery anyway. Also not sure HP can get one laid. Back in the days it wasn't the best option.
Leave the price tag on.
I think the high difference between average framerate and 1% low could be caused by high temperatures and should have been mentioned in greater detail. No other laptop on the chart halves the performance for 1% and it would result in a stuttery and unenjoyable gameplay experience, especially for sessions lasting longer than a benchmark. I am a little bit disappointed
Never had an hp. What’s the after care like ?
pretty good while in warranty, mediocre after
Need an oled screen. Every time I see one I just get an urge to put one on my credit card. 🤨
I think the single drive with no options to add another is somewhat bad 😮
Looks like MSI and Asus have got some serious competition in the gaming laptop arena.
Sorry, not being able to expand the storage in a 2nd SSD slot on a near £2K laptop, is just absurd.
Yeah Leo mentioned that. Pretty poor show but it’s only a 14 inch laptop not sure many of them allow that due to size.
Compare to apple who solder the storage directly to the motherboard!
Far out how many pro mos
Think for a daily driver I would still prefer my MacBook.
I'm still trying to get used to the idea that HP make gaming laptops!
OK I got half way through this video, Enough with the adverts. stopped watching.
sorry tom, appreciate you trying to support us, We have a few extra ads in this one, sorry we lost you. ive seen you about before and your commitment was always good . Wish you a happy easter !
The trend in 'some' laptops is Soldered memory. Which is a presumed manufacturer cost saver, and a money maker for the brand. Need more memory? Buy a new laptop from us. The typical older laptop can gain 'new life' with more memory. Now there is no 'improve performance by paying $70 for 32GB laptop memory.'
I personally won't buy anything HP on principle.
Why? what have I missed?
I dont get it, what they done now?
HP service model is the best in the industry.
Same, not just HP but any of their subsidiary companies (hyper x is one of those). The quality of their products is sub-par, over the years I have had multiple HP products, all of which have failed on me prematurely. Poor experience with having to deal with warranty claims on a multiple laptops made me loose any trust I had in this company. Multiple laptops top issues included damage to hinges (through no fault of the user), overheating causing components to fail because of either poor design or poor QC control, cheap plastic cracking, display failure.
HyperX made good gaming gear, but ever since they were brought out by HP, I would rather find an alternative because HP always find a way to reduce the quality of their products.
I blame the Meg Whitman era.
I would set that RGB keyboard to just white and leave it like that I think.
The number of ads in video for an 11 min review is egregious. One ad, maybe two if you drop the second at the end is fine. I will be sure to skip your videos in the future.
A lot the ads are forced by CZcams. We have a few sponsors to help us cover costs. And we avoid long 90 second ‘adverts’ from companies like NordVPN. Sorry you didn’t hang around. Take care kg team.
Laptop ????? what's next.. Lapdance
How can you show its a gaming laptop without stupid gaming decals and logos plastered all over it?
I just dont get the point in having a gaming laptop.
It's basically an under-performing 4060 due to the power limit.
loved the video but anyone really buys HP these days?
I left behind all the big brands many years now, i checking for brands like Dream Machines.Every year they are bringing last gen CPU's and GPU's and the Prices are so so affordable for those high specs!
