Hey everybody, this is your daily dose of therapy.
It's really just life coaching, but I get the meme😅
Loll
Lol
Okay, I didn't expect THIS crossover. That's epic!
@Rosa Barks It's weird, but not unexpected.
@Rosa Barks To be fair I think this has happened for as long as there has been media.
Like, what is that feeling you get when multiple famous people meet on a talk-show (say Adam Savage and Mark Hamill), Isn't that wild? It's like a crossover between these people, that are fictional in so many ways. We will never know these people, maybe not even a little.
Hell, all the people I know are probably fictional characters to me- in the sense that I build them up in my head, fill in blanks, invent ways they act "oh that's so typical for Andy" (but is it really).
Relationships are weird, parasocial relationships are even weirder.
I think the reaction is completely normal though.
@Rosa Barks Oh, your name is awesome BTW

I really relate to Jason saying that he doesn’t feel like he is a complete person yet and that he’s afraid to cause someone else harm in a relationship. I’d love to see an episode with Dr. K talking about trauma from past relationships.
24:34 Holy fuck I feel that. After graduating from high school I feel like I'm actually making conscious decisions when I do anything. I don't know how to explain it other than it felt like auto-pilot all 18 years prior to now. I started deep-diving stuff about myself learning about anxiety or just habits I do or like career choices and holy. It's so weird.
Yea same, it is really cool to do stuff consciously!
It’s a life changing revelation and new perspective. Lucky that you realized at 18, so you can live life with meaning and purpose. I’m going through the same thing at 24, wished I was self-aware earlier.
Did sometging specific happen that triggered that change? Like doing sports, a specific Situation etc? I still feel like Auto-pilot but am not sure what to do about it.
@@Ursus.Primus I moved out of my parents home and now live with my girlfriend so my level of autonomy is waaaay bigger and I also have to do way more stuff and I think about how I want to do that stuff, I guess that's it.

OMG SEEING HIS UNFAMILIAR FACE WITH A VOICE IM SO FAMILAR TO IS SUCH A FASCINATING EXPEREINCE
Its the only time its happened for me where it hasnt ruined the experience of the channel
Daily Dose actually has such an interesting and unique personality. He's the kind of person that draws people towards him from his quirks and mannerisms.
incredible how much i can relate to Jason here. Not only did this put a personality behind one of the more fun channels on youtube, but it also feels like it helped me. The way he looks and experienced relationships, how he felt like an autopilot until a late age and the way his family relationship works just resonates a lot with me. Great video!
1:03:52 the way he said it, immediately made me tear up a bit.
holy fuck that was a beautiful moment
Best stuff I have seen in a while. Randomly started watching this and was planning to take a break. But damn, this kept me hooked on my chair till the end.
Not the crossover we expected but the crossover we needed
He said it he said the thing
I relate so much to him, this was so helpful. I've said that exact thing to my friends about feeling like I was on auto pilot until a certain age
Made me smileeeeeeeeee he's so precious with that intro, and when he got emotional about sharing knowledge with people, wow...
I relate to this guy on everything that he shared (except for having close relationship with his sibling). Just incredible seeing everything that’s bothered me to be talked about like this with Dr.K. This session has helped me so much Thank you Jason and Dr.K!
1:20:00 this, holy fuck omg I never thought about it this way. I'm an international business major, and when I went to school I got really insecure. It wasnt that I wasnt as smart as I thought I was, it was that I was just as smart as everyone else for once. What the fuck. Wow. God bless your Dr. K, you truly are amazing.
Watched a lot of Dr.K here past year or so. This is first time I’ve teared up a bit. So glad he put his camera on talked about everything.
I can't be the only one who read the title and thought Dr. K was just gonna show us some interesting stuff on the internet
Loved getting to see Jason’s personality! Cool guy.
Amazing!!! the two people to help us start our days :D
I can relate very well to daily dose. Maybe it's because I have ADHD too and I am curious but he is a great example to follow. Thank you for sharing this
Man, I'm so impressed and I learn a lot from Dr. K, actually. Sometimes I talk with junior churchmates and people from a local christian community and people's attention run around and it's very difficult to talk about a specific issue that they face (I'm talking about one-on-one interactions with them). I see from how they talk and act and react to me talking some issues they struggle with, but they keep trying to avoid the important issues and put their focuses elsewhere, and it's really annoying and frustrating. It's awesome when they willingly lead you into a part of their lives so that you really get to know them, but a lot aren't like that, and it is easy for me to simply give up. Dr. K was really patient with Jason here (who I think a large part was the ADHD) even when the topics kept flying around without being able to focus on Jason himself, and towards the end I think something finally got through. Also, the stuff on the hows and whats of meditation is really interesting, eye-opening, and just a good and useful thing for me to learn. Thanks, Daily Dose for coming on (would've never expected!) and being you, regardless the nervous or relaxed version, and Dr. K, for the awesome content as usual!
I'm just gonna paste here for my own timeline for which topic that I like lol
22:30 Ego and 'know' everything
34:45 trying to get better everyday despite don't know anything. You do what you do.
Can't even explain how much i love this channel.
I love the meditation exercise you taught to Jason/daily dose of internet
I was REALLY hoping Daily Dose would give the intro and he did! I'm so stoked to discover that Dr K actually interviewed him! This is certainly the longest video I've seen Daily Dose of internet in 😝 so I know I'm in for a treat!😊
This was such a good interview, DDOI is just a memer and is a lot more relatable to viewers than some of the uber popular streamers that come on here. A lot of what he talked resonated with me and it was super interesting getting to know the man behind DDOI! Got a new fan here.
NO WAY I DIDN'T EVER THINK ABOUT THIS HAPPENING BUT I AM HAPPY THAT IT DID
Not going in to relationship because of the fear of hurting someone struck me hard. I have isolated myself from so many friends and relationship opportunities because of that fear, nothing good comes from it.
What a kind, beautiful face jason has. He should show it more.
Oh And the house analogy.
I had a lecturer once when i was studying literature and she said that: a book is like a house. Imagine an old interesting house. You can see it from the front, you can walk in and see every room and get a great feeling from it and a fine read. But then you can also go back into each room (think of a room as a character for example) and you can look at the furniture, the paintings, the knickknacks, the colour scheme and literally spend ages just noticing many small and wonderful things about that room (or the character), and then you can go into another room and marvel at all the things in that room. You can even delve into the stories behind each object and their providance if you can find out those things or theorise on it.
Then you can study the architecture of the house (the total sum created by the author) and wonder at the choices and influences of each part of that amazing structure, until you discover amazing things about the architect and what they were trying to create and why. It explains the adventure of discovering all the complexities about a book.
Or you can just wander through the house, enjoy it and leave it at that.
How far you wanna go into that admiration and exploration of that book is up to the reader, and what he/she wants to bring to the experience as well.
I just love the house analogy. :)
And it also works so well as a metaphore for an individual soul.
I love this comment because it makes something as simple as reading a book feel much more worthwhile. I’ve always loved reading but couldn’t explain why, so thank you :)
This hit the nail so perfectly
This was a great interwiew :) I was there during the live stream and was very surprised that he showed his face.
This is amazing!
This is such a Pog crossover! Hopefully Dr K gets more exposure from this!!

14:02 That is so telling! What an inception it is. The very thing he DESIRED to retrieve from his memory was that of letting go of DESIRE itself. Very interesting how the mind can play games like that.
the intro was so smooth yoo
Gratitute-driven desperation feels like a pretty good definition of eustress.
Eustress goals
I feel like Jason is too positive/agreeable. It feels like he believes that if he feels negative emotions there’s something wrong with that. I think he would be less stressed and nervous if he sat in his negative emotions and knew it was okay to feel bad sometimes.
57:10 my exact attitude toward relationships
Such a great job here .👌
when he explained at about 1:07:00 why his videos are the way they are, it made perfect sense. I like videos of animals doing weird stuff, but I don't usually care about interviewing the owner the way channels like The Dodo tend to do. 30 seconds or so is perfect
He seems like a sweet guy, great stream!
When I heard that first like I went "oh shit" it really is him
How many people here in the comments also thought they knew everything as a teenager and didn't need their parents. I find sharing these self "failures" or accountabilities makes us relate to each other in a biig way. I also felt this way growing up until you get the wake-up call you've heard so many people talk about but never experienced. I think a lot of those moments where you feel like it's only you going through those things (whatever it may be) is really more common than we think. Talk about it I think you'd be surprised how many people have the same headspace as you and I also think you'd be surprised at the relief you feel knowing that someone else feels the same hurt, pain, happiness as you someone who "knows your struggle".
i would have never thought that he looked that way ,really interresting muich love jason
Really? I always pictured a thin, white guy and that's exactly what he was.
@@Cookieboy70 he's not thin underneath that hoodie he is swole af lol
@@rvscape I just googled him, he is not swoll as F, a body builder is swoll, although he definitely he is in shape. When I said thin, I mean not a fat guy, because a fat guy sounds different.
i imaged him younger becaus of the voice
@@rvscape ok dude, you need to check your definition of swole, maybe dudes like hasanabi that can be described as swole or body builders. Jason is definitely not that type, he's just fit and most people would prefer that than swole.

hello everyone*
JUST ONE JOB..........and you ruined it.
Yes it’s mine. Nobody else’s.
Yessss finally adhd content, need more adhd dr.k.. Awesome.
Have you seen the Mizkif videos?
I don't have the same subtype as him but I have still learned quite a bit from them.
On being afraid of hurting others in a relationship with saying the truth, I would say it depends on how one sees this. Yes, there is pain in realizing one made a mistake if one has the wrong mindset, but I would (intellectually imagine myself to) be happy to be aware of a mistake, because that is an important step toward preventing or stopping that mistake in the future.
I think we just need to work to change our mindset about seeing our own mistakes. It doesn't make us worse to look at our mistakes. I think it is healthy and orderly to be sad at one's own mistake. That can motivate one reject making the same mistake again.
Also, compare that subjective hurt with an objective mistake which can become a logical source for subjective pain. It still makes sense to work on saying things better as one can cause pain in saying something without skill in understanding the other and treating their side with care and respect. Yet, recognize the great value of awareness, especially in one's mistakes. One place where it is clear for us to improve in is our mistakes, and we tend to improve things that we look at. So, it seems beneficial to look at mistakes, despite the pain one may get.
Also, it would be psychologically beneficial to be able to look at one's own mistake with courage to then be able to overcome it, rather than hide from it, not solve it, and possibly continue for that mistake to fester and create worse problems. This last idea I think is something Jordan Peterson talks about.
Dr k is aging backwards, wow.

Also, I'd love to see lectures about the "karmic" religions.
As someone who follows Hinduism. I feel like Buddhism is kind of like an easier summary of Hinduism. Instead of philosophical complexities Siddhartha Gautam (Buddha) focused on simple truths of everyday people's lives.
I like it, I will most definitely steal that quote from you. :)
@@HaveYouTriedDuckTape 😊 sure
Well that was the initial aim of buddhism wasnt it? To do away with the complexities of hinduism and focus on a simpler way to emancipation?
I don’t like religion but at least Hinduism isn’t one of the retarded faiths where they try and spread it (Christianity and Islam)

It depends on what constitutes "training your brain". When we're going to play a new game, we put focus and try to learn, but after a while we know the ins and outs and our exhaustion within the game comes from other things, not the game itself or how it's played. It also depends on the game. This is why a lot of us use games to relax or a lot of times to "lose time" even though we are consciously thinking of the tasks at hand in the game, we're in reality spending hours and hours in doing nothing.
One thing that is known to help alzheimer's is playing drums or just playing music in general I guess. But for drums is not only the creative part and the counting, is also the work you have to do to make your arms and legs independent.
Edit: I feel very proud thinking of this before Dr K said it. Now, does that mean I'm a buddhist? Sure.
Such a good title
