I have IBD and the impact it has on me is really annoying because I just feel more depressed than I already am but it also makes me appreciate life a bit more
S H Best advice I can give is avoid if possible the anti immune meds and try to deal with stress because stress has a big part in it.

I have ibd and what I’ve learned is sometimes you can’t prevent flare ups they just happen.
My son has a lot of these symptoms. He gets constipated, sometimes for weeks. He get bloated and sometimes doesn’t want to eat. I’ve talked to doctors but still getting 4th, 5th opinions. I need a doctor to listen. He’s been like this for years, as a toddler, he’s 7 now. The doctors always want to brush it off to his autism and lack of eating although he eats well when he isn’t experiencing these symptoms. 😞
Been diagnosed for over a year now. Still something I'm getting used to. It does get easier. Here if anyone needs me. Sometimes all you need is someone to talk to. Much love.

@@jjforever5780 Hey there! Have you just been diagnosed with it? The beginning was the worst part for me. Trust me when I say the pain eases and it becomes manageable. I know right now it probably seems and feels like all hope is gone but you're on the right track to feeling like yourself again. I was on my death bed at one point I lost so much weight. I was constantly getting sick but what really helped me was lots and lots and lots of cold water. It may feel like it's hurting your belly but those are just your nerve endings. Cold water is a miracle. Just think of it this way, when you burn yourself what do you do? Most people immediately put it under cold water. Any heat solutions make me flare up more. The only thing that helped me in this case was a hot shower. Also be very careful on what you eat. Lots of caffeine, chocolate, fatty and processed foods and alcohol will irritable your belly. Any raw fruits or veggies will hurt your belly to so try and stay away from that. If anything make sure they're cooked veggies. Manage the portion sizes, eat slow and small bites, it will help pass through. My doctor prescribed me antispasmodics and anti nauseousness. They help alot but leave me backed up. STRESS. Is a huge factor. Limit any and all of your stress. It will make a huge difference. Relax. Breathe. This too shall pass. And it will. I'm here. Always will be for a fellow colitis sufferer. I hope this helps you.

@@itsnatsmaex7715 I'm actually dealing with a flare today. Lots of boiled eggs help me and carbs for some reason. Anything greasy or even peanuts, corn and any raw fruits and veggie cause me so much pain. I drink tons of water and juices now. I try and stick with clear pop if any. Just make sure you eat small meals. ❤️😘

To add to this, some mistakes people may make in trying to fix gut health include: adding a probiotic to help with excessive gas and bloating (that's just one piece of the puzzle), eliminating a food for 4 days and expecting it solve the issue (will take at least 2 weeks), and not thinking about root causes!

I never had stomach pain but got fistula and loss of appetite, undergrowth (now normal) and high fever.
I was diagnosed at 17 but spent most of the year before experiencing symptoms. It was tough but after 12 years of it I'm getting used to it :D

Diagnosed with crohn’s in the 5th grade and those symptoms are entirely correct. I had all of them and became frail, many flare ups and even almost died of a 4.7 hemoglobin blood count. Now 22 and better but it’s still affecting me even today. If anybody needs a test subject patient, my case fits

Just got diagnosed. Pretty scared but i'm trying stay optimistic. Just sucks because every time I eat I get really extreme stomach pain. Ive probably lost 25 pounds in the last couple months because I know when I eat I'll get excruciating pain in my stomach so I try to avoid eating as much as possible.

I’m so scared. I haven’t gotten diagnosed yet. Just recently I started feeling slight pain on my left side but it goes away and doesn’t last long. Today is the first time I felt pain that lasted long and it happened after I was done eating and used to the restroom. I hope it’s not it but I have a feeling. I have sharp pains and frequently get bloated, constantly have a loose stool or diarrhea, i don’t really have a lot of blood in my stool but I sometimes notice it and I’m always tired and nauseous but my pediatrician said I only have ibs and sent me home and I’m starting to get depressed because i literally can’t get up for to long or enjoy my life without pain
that exact thing happened to me! i kept going back because the meds they gave me never helped and i ended up getting a colonoscopy. ideally id be swallowing a camera too to check out my small intestines but this corona shit made it impossible. if youre able to and you truly feel like its not ibs maybe go back and see if they can do anything else to check?
Aidsen I just was admitted to the hospital because they were giving me meds that didn’t do shit for ibs so they did a upper lower endoscopy and biopsy and told me they couldn’t find anything so then we did a pill cam to see my small intestines they still didn’t find anything but weird fluids... then after 5 days of hell they discharged me and I was devastated they couldn’t find anything but then they called me 2 days later saying I have a reallllly bad case of E. Coli and trophozoites that are taking all my nutrients and I apparently had it for almost a year somehow and the antibiotics aren’t killing it either

I’m 16 and the doctor found Ibd in my stool tbh I’m kinda scared and I just don’t feel the same anymore but these stories r helping me cos Ik I’m not alone
My pain was so acute that I had to admit in a hospital. It happened two more times. Acute stomach pain with vomiting but I didn't have much issues with stool. I try eating only healthy food as much as possible

You can try cat s claw it stoped my flares . I am in remission but when a eat something too many times like bread or rice or coffee . I mean too much everyday . I get some symptoms but nothing near what it was with it (cat s claw )I hope this helps

Like I too have IBD (Crohn's disease). Like I first got it when I was ten and now have had this for 7 years. Now like at 17 I hope I am not considered too young as every patient is different, I have beginning last year (2019) been taking six times a year on average of infusions with Entyvio (debolizumab). In my case, this has helped slow relapses, but far from perfect. I still have those few urgent and unexpected embarrassments of experiencing bowel accidents -- like even in public spaces. I don't like that but like I have to live with it!
You will get through it my friend, every time something I though was unfair happened to me I would wish I had someone's life instead of mine until i realized that life is basically an endless sequence of problems for us to solve, that's what gives meaning to it

Haven’t seen many comments about being undiagnosed. I’m a 23yr old female and have had almost completely liquid diarrhea for the past 2-3 weeks. It is almost a neon yellow color. Gallbladder maybe?? I just had blood work about 2 months ago and everything was normal. Just hoping for some ideas of where to go from here. I cant stand the fact that she said its luck, this is not luck. There are always risk-factors modifiable and non modifiable. We should be encouraging people to prevent and manage IBD not act like it was down to chance and there is nothing that could have prevented the conditions.

Almost every time there is blood in my stool
Lots of water will help. This happens to me alot and I noticed it happens after being backed up for a few days. Once it comes it almost seems like I popped a blood vessel or something but hemmroid cream is a life saver and eating a high fiber diet is favorable, but for me if I eat a salad it will have me bent over and it'll go right through me the next day. It's not pretty. But the foods you eat and straining is a huge huge factor. Try not to strain and sometimes that instant urge to go, try and work that muscle again down below. Hold and release. I know it may sound ridiculous but it's true. I suffer from both ibs and ibd. What they call IBS-D. It's great haha but I am a huge lover of pasta dishes. I noticed any big meals like that will have me wanting to get it out asap and then I'm left plugged up again. It's a miserable cycle and everyone who has colitis has different pros and cons when it comes to food. Keeping a food diary for me is absolutely a waste of time because some days it seems like anything I touch it doesn't agree. But stress management is a huge huge factor in this and it's unbelievable but everytime something stressful happens to me I flare up. I was also going to ask if you smoke because smoking weed is a godsend for me. I take small puffs throughout the day, it allows me to have decent bowel movements without straining, it allows me to eat and have a appetite, it allows me to sleep even if my belly is super upset. It reallyyy helps. Even just CBD oil will help. I hope this eases and I wish I had someone to tell me all of this shit because the doctors sure as hell don't. I've been in and out of the hospital, emergency room the past year and a half and none of them ever really gave me a good heads up. All of this I found out by myself. It's dreadful but this is what helped and is still helping me. After being diagnosed now for 9-10 months it feels like I have it under control. Thank God! 😩🙌❤️ Much love to you and yours. I hope you find comfort in my words and I really do hope my suggestions help you. Water. Weed. Water. Small bites. Water. Weed. Haha 😄 This is what I do now anyways.

@@gatapr100 usually local health food stores have it and it comes with a tincture. Alot of people put the oil in a vape pen and smoke it. Even a generic vape that you use smokeable tobacco for. I highly recommend staying away from caffeine and trigger foods for a while and you'll start to notice what goes right through. I personally stick with a high carb diet because even salad messess my tummy up. But yeah! A vape will do the trick beautiful! Lots of cold water and rest! ❤️ Much much love to you!

I have IBD and I still eat like I used to before
