Hi, I am Joe Daniels. I bought this unit because it was the least expensive metal detector with the most features. After using this Bounty Hunter metal detector for a while now, I can say that it is certainly a great detector for its price tag.
Also, this metal detector's very accurate, it isn't heavy to carry on long hiking trips, and it's very easy to use and to interpret. I found a few objects but nothing with old coins just yet.
Instructions are easy to follow. There was a bit of a learning curve, but I was able to know the detector within a couple of weeks--maybe six, 2-3 hour hunts. The pinpoint feature takes a bit of getting used to, but once I learned how to use it I found it to be accurate. I still use a hand-held unit, but the detector gets me really close and sometimes right on the money.
In general, I am pleased with the performance of the Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro and it certainly works very well. I am totally satisfied with my purchase and would buy it again. I would highly recommend this metal detector to any individual who's a beginner in searching for relics, or just having a little fun searching for things outside.
