    Great to see vid supporting something I've already tried. Can vouch, the split version are good pads. Printed on Ender 3, so could only print the split ones.

      Hmm isn’t the print volume of the ender 320x320 I have an artillery genius and I’m pretty sure the full pads would fit on mine. I thought they were the same build volume I could be wrong. I didn’t do the whole thing because I always get scared about warping with larger prints. And glue sticks kinda piss me off lol

      @@eucwizard2164 Ender 3 build volume is 220x220x250. And i did use a glue stick :) Think i altered the print line/pattern direction too from having to turn the prints 45° (corner to corner) on the build plate.

      @@bobby_trauma I looked it up the genius and the build volume is actually the same. I thought the slicer was saying it would fit. In reality my subconscious desire to avoid using a glue stick probably just made me plop the half into the slicer from the start xD. Glue sticks are both a dream come true and my worst nightmare. So messy

      @@ENDVash The important thing is that we can diy some legit pads🖤 ..glue sticks or not :) I actually haven't tried the pads myself, but made some for an experienced euc-riding friend, and he likes them a lot! They printed well once I got layer height tuned in (which was about half of what was recommended on Thingiverse). Will try to update once I've given them a go for myself.

    2:28 well, I am totally agree of what you say, if they are doing mass production, they should lower the price, but once you are the owner of business, you have things are more than you can worry, paying Rent for your business, paying employees, insurance, payroll tax, sales tax, license fee, state business license fee, fire department.... etc, anyone, the list is longer than I can write here, as a new business owner myself just found out all these fees you have to pay, if he does not pay up tax he can be in big trouble, if he is not paying employees, he will be in trouble, so I will not blame the price is being way up there, if the business does not make money, then they will be close very soon.
    the whole reason I watching your video here, because I have a 3d printer and going to print my own, trying to save some money instead of paying $150, but for most of the people, there is no point to buy a $200 or $300 3d printer if they just print it once, the printer itself is way more than the pads they need.

    • @ENDVash
      @ENDVash Před rokem +2

      No I agree I have no idea what their overhead is. But I can’t imagine that hiking up the price would result in a ton of business especially when you’re talking about something as niche as power pads.. and not everyone has a printer but a ton of people do and if someone was to ask around there’s a pretty good chance they’ll find someone... hey here’s a spool of filament print this keep what’s left over and also here’s 20 bucks. I can’t imagine a print farm needing a ton of employees or an actual location for that matter but who knows.

      @ENDVash that is what I did to couple friends, they do save money from purchasing power pads from main brands, but of course, the one we print may not be as good as main brands, but hey you get what you pay for at the end of the day right? 😉

    I got into 3D printing before I got into EUCs and when I saw the prices for these 3D printed pad I thought it was ridiculous too. I know you want to make a profit but 3D printing is getting much cheaper and accessible. People will just print there own pads.

    • @eucwizard2164
      @eucwizard2164  Před 2 lety

      Same here I mean if you’re gonna spend over 100, 150 you’re only 50-100 dollars away from owning your own printer.
      Don’t get me wrong I understand that printing takes many hours but.. what kind of wage are these people paying to their printers lol… nozzles aren’t expensive neither are belts or any other thing that might experience wear and tear.

      I would have to order some more filament. And also I’d have to ask the author of the print if he’s cool with it.. I’ll reach out to him and see what he says.
