It's a shame that his addiction has marred so many people's opinion of him. He seems to have a really unique charisma to him.

From what I saw on the Libs' Boys in the Band dvd, when Pete and Carl were living together it did look messy-- particularly their refrigerator. I read an interview (from like 2 years ago) where Pete was trying to convince Carl to come see his house, Carl said: "they say it's a dump.... I'm sure it's a dump, I've lived with you before." Haa! Pete's house is exactly as I'd imagine it... and I don't mean that in a bad way.
