This is a horror game that you all have been requesting for SO LONG and we're finally getting around to it. I've heard some really good things about this game and it seems like a really unique setting, let's see if we can't survive the night shift!

The Reason the man could not move to the editor's room is because he was coming from the stairs and had to move the filing cabnits that were tipped over which he said would take him about 2 min after which he would only have time to move into either the kitchen or archive. Therefore the correct answer would have been to direct the killer to the editors room and then tell the man to hide in either the kitchen or archives. Also i think they made it pretty clear you could not change your answer twice
Well, you COULD change your answer... But their were consequences. At least he finally admitted the game warned him not to be indecisive.
Seeing this comment has made my day 😂. That part was frustrating to watch especially so late at night that everyone is sleeping and you can't yell at the screen properly
this map is of the upstairs, the cabinets are at the bottom of the stairs not the top. You can tell because it has the boardroom on it that he was hiding in. I assume the reason you couldn't send him to the editor's room is because it's either equidistant or even further away from your objective than the boardroom he was already in. that said, you are correct that sending the call to the editor's room would've been the right choice, and I feel like after seeing the options that were given the first time it should've been more obvious that you needed to pick the editor's room as it wasn't an option in his menu.

Also the fact that he was thinking about the mask if you were thinking about it then why didn’t you choose a different option also he was choosing the options to quickly in the beginning also while talking over important details 😐

For the Russell puzzle, you were meant to call the killer to the editors room and have Russell run to the kitchen or archive room.

I think what he's trying to do is
1. Call the Kitchen, or the archives, as it is the furthest away from the editor's room (the room he's trying to move into)
2. Then call the Office room, to get the killer far away from the stair and have Russell move into the kitchen or the archive. With the killer far away, hopefully this buys enough time for Rusell to escape.
@@glitched_bg3344 problem with this logic was: assuming you call twice and the killer would fall for that twice in a row, the fact calling the killer to the editor room and then going to the kitchen would accomplish the same goal as that, the fact the objective is to get him through the staircase to escape so calling him to the editors room would be by far the worst option cornering him furthest away from an exit, and finally the fact that after the first time where he didn't see the editors room as an option, he should have been able to tell what the game wanted him to do.
basically he overthought it to the highest degree... i can't really talk as i do the same thing, i tend to overcomplicate things that have a simple solution... even had a test done where as the puzzles got harder, i got faster at finishing them.

@@NbNgMOD most masks have mesh eye covers on the inside especially ones like that. And the range of the spray is not focused enough to do a lot of damage.
Besides if you're carrying a person you don't really have the fortune to use a longer range weapon since you're too slow to get away after the temporary attack unlike a close range weapon like tasers

If I was an artist I would 100% create some fan art of matpat as Forrest and Ash as Peggy. Somehow I feel like that just really fits and would be so fun in a cool art style. I’m glad you finally played this game! ☺️

ok but matpat would seriously love the game he refuses to pronounce. its got so much mystery twists and narrative for engaging a theorist brain to get lost in plus lots of dark comedy and fleshed out characters and many iconic moments. id love if he did content on it ❤

I feel like he'd enjoy it but it's probably too long of a game to do for a GT live since most of the games they do are short (I think the most recent one that got more than two parts was murder of Sonic the hedgehog?) I love Danganronpa and while I would be excited to see them play it that game is 25 hours just to complete the main story and it probably be even longer considering the fact that they need to be talking throughout it (-a very big dang it grandpa fan)
Like mat said, it would be a whole years worth of content for him to play. They would actually need make a whole new channel just to cover danganronpa. I would be down, but i think for mat's and ash's sanity, not a good idea.

Honestly, it's really refreshing and reassuring that even someone who's been at their craft for over a decade has rough days. Seeing some genuine vulnerability from MatPat at the end about living up to expectations, or not, and the emotional toil that creates makes me feel better about my own similar struggle with my relationship to success and failure. You didn't let me down, Mat. I empathize with the feeling, but in sharing that moment the real value of this video is worth more than some video game losses. You'll get it next time. Or not. Either way, I'll still be here, rooting you on.

which is an odd design choice as they give you a stop button to press... would have been cool if the stop button literally skipped the ad segment give speedrunners something to look forward to XD

Haven't played this but I'm guessing the extension you should have called was #3 in the Editor's room, then you get the reporter to go to the Kitchen, since it's around the corner and far away from the Editor's room while also being next to the staircase so the reporter can escape.

I never noticed it before, but Peggy and Ash really do sound pretty similar. They got the same vibes, too. That's pretty neat.

honestly, if Gtlive did any amount of episodes on danganronpa, even if it was just a super cut of the plot elements, investigations, and trials, that would be so cool, and I wonder how much he would be able to predict ahead of time, cuz the series goes to some wacky places

I’m so happy he’s finally playing this beautifully made game! Hopefully the next one will be Lethal Company, there’s so many cool hints at lore in the game, so I hope there will be a theory on it!

Edit 2: Nope. Now I'm hyped for the MattPatt redemption arc. I actually genuinely respect that he was like "I feel a pressure that I haven't felt in a long time", like he's actually taking this game seriously by the end after realizing his actions have consequences in the game.
I went from "I hope this won't be a wipe" to "That's my not-live streamer".
Looking forward to the next part.
No Mat you aren't a failure :< a part of the Lets Play experience is seeing the way each person reacts and follows the game. Especially with how this game seems to have different paths, the one you're going on is unique to how others played the game, and that's what makes it interesting. Especially if there are people here who have watched or played this game a million times, it keeps their attention to see something new. You can't be perfect at the game, but I promise it doesn't let anyone down. You're doing great :) and I'm enjoying this, further knowing I can watch other playthroughs and see new paths.

Also also, if you're being requested a bunch times for Danganronpa, maybe try Your Turn To Die; Death Game by Majority? At the least, there is lore and theories to be made, as the game hasn't released the final chapter yet. And it's also free (unless you get the DLC version via Steam)

Follow-up comment now that I've watched the video: Mat, I'll be honest--I was slightly irritated that you were so laser-focused on shooting baskets instead of learning the mechanics at the beginning, but I'm glad the story drew you in. No worries on not being a top-gamer when you're sleep deprived. You're the reason we're all here, no matter how well or less-well you play. That said, I still hope you'll see this game through when you're better rested (maybe replay offline until you get to the Maurice section and replay that "live"?). This is a really fun game with some cool elements and twists and turns. (And maybe some interesting theory fodder about how a town that is seemingly straight out of the 80's, down to the records and cassettes in the studio, still has cell phones?) All that to say: we appreciate you, pal.

Honestly I confused Killer Frequency and Lethal Company at first too, that's actually why I started played Killer Frequency XD I thought it was Killer Company lol and then I realised it's different but I loved it anyway

Killer Frequency is *Great* and I am *SO* stoked!
FINALLY!!!! I watched AstralSpiff play and then RTGame and both playthroughs were so amazing and fun. The game is 10/10 you feel so immersed in it
Still can't believe that fact that he was told that if that he could only switch once and still went to switch. While it was a stretch for him to make it with the choices mat gave himself, he knew the next options were either kitchen and archives but still chose one of the two for the call, he had four choices for the call and kept choosing the same two. Hopefully next time Mat can save more lives.
Watching this with RTGAME’s Play-through in mind is a trip and a half, similar use of SFX but Mat can land trash in the bin

When Mat failed saving that guy I was genuinely a bit frustrated because he pretty clearly just ignored every hint the game gave him. Seeing that he also experienced it like that is pretty funny but also now I just feel bad for him. Hopefully he can recover from this blunder and come back stronger!
Yeah seriously. Maurice is supposed to be moving closer to the exit so those are the numbers it lets you dial. Matt trying to draw the killer towards the exit just feels like he isn’t really in it, which I guess is fine. It’s pretty funny anyways
Idk where to post this since I don't have Twitter or any other social. But I just had a very great experience. I've been in the hospital for over a week, and my nurse just came in and saw my switch case. It's a Game Theory case and she apparently watches you guys too. This small interaction made me so happy, we talked about your channels and I weirdly feel so much better having a nurse who referenced Bread Gloves
