It's not usually sweet, unless that's what you chose to make. Don't get hung up on the "cake" part of the name. It's a sandwich. Bread and toppings of your choosing. Big and made to share and look really fancy.

How many people would this serve for a starter ?
Should you serve immediately? If you make this the day before a party, will the bread be soggy?
Just note that you shouldn't eat anything with mayonnaise left overnight or too long as bacteria forms and you could get sick.
The bread should be a little soggy. If not serving right away REFRIGERATE! Raw veggies + protein or fat is a recipe for food poisoning at room temp. That fresh crispy cucumber has bacteria on it just waiting for the right condition to start multiplying into dangerous levels. Even a sand blaster wouldn't be able to wash them all off.
The point is to leave it over night so the bread becomes juicy. If you serve it directly, the cake will be dry.

Столько хлеба... если всё это подать как закуски, то и хлеба столько не надо. Чем салаты не угодили? А при подаче всё развалится. И потом там внутри хлеб скиснет. Значит всё съесть нужно. Подача только красивая, а так... ерунда. И потом получается, что мы за гостей решанм, что им есть. А если кто-то не любит один ингредиент, то всё.
Это не салат. Это торт ! Вы сначала попробуйте такой приготовить, а потом уж пишите свои фантазии. Съедят и ещё попросят.
