I was able to do that at Barksdale when I was training. Shreveport Regional was doing some maintenance on 14/32 and arranged for me to be able to go and do low approaches at Barksdale.

That's cool, it really helped me. FYI, they are resurfacing 14/32 at KDTN now so I will be doing a lot of Xwind landings.

@TheFlyingSalesman I have not flown in a few years. I did my training in a pipestrel alpha trainer. I am waiting for mosaic to become law to decide what aircraft to buy. I am building a new home right now, it consumes all my extra time since I am the builder. The equity will be enough to buy a new plane, so I am focused on that
