This definitely helped me. I didn’t even know that’s where the actual filter was, nor did I ever notice the entire digital display in my fridge 😂. So thank you!
Thank you so much. I was ready to through my fridge out. You said the magic words I needed to hear "keep twisting clockwise until it stops." Thank you!!
Thank you for the video. It was helpful to see that it took that much effort to remove the old one - I was afraid to twist with that much force. I got my replacement through amazon. It came quickly and was considerably less $$
Thanks for this video. I was concerned because I believe instructions say to turn the water off before doing this----apparently not necessary. I know where the shut off for my refrigerator water line is (in my basement utility room)----but it's a small valve and turning it on and off probably isn't a good idea as doing this often or the wrong way could end up causing a leak at the valve/copper line. This is so easy.
How do you reset the filter light? I have a order and replace lights. Both are off and only when I hold the button 3 seconds the replace light flashes. I replaced the filter and did the flushing part but nothing. Thank you

We have a Kitchen Aid refrigerator that has water & ice dispenser on the door bought from Best Buy, which also sells water filters. We find it hard to remove the old water filter. The filter says to flush 4 gallons of water before drinking
Related to this fridge my fridge the ice make water is no longer filling up even though the arm is down and ready , I dont know what to check to get this somehwere they talk about a water line fitler where is this water line filter , how do you access this?
I have tried turning counter clockwise but it will not come out. I haven't been too gentle understanding it might take a bit 9f elbow grease... do you have any suggestions? thank you.
Can anyone tell me where/how to change the filter in my Kitchen Aid Fridge, Model #KSCS25F...There is no little box in that model like there is in the one being shown....Please help!
I have the same model. My water dispenser stopped working. I can hear the pump running when the button is pushed and the ice maker still works. Any ideas? Have you had this issue?
A little off topic but I have the same fridge. Do you have a problem with the bottom drawer lid coming off every time you open it? Mine drives me nuts!
It does take a little force. But be careful. You don’t want to break the filter connection. You may also want to refer to your manual if it’s a different brand. If you don’t have the manual, you can commonly find them on-line.
Not sure. I know that when filters are old they sometimes start slowing down. Are you sure you inserted the filter all the way in. If you didn't get it in all the way it may have not connected properly.
HowToWith GEO Turns out, when I asked my husband where he got the filters, that he got them from a filter company in the States (we are in Canada) on eBay. As per your video, I sent him to Home Depot and the filter he bought from there worked! We returned the ones we got from eBay back to the supplier in California...with a full rebate. Buyer beware!!! Thanks for posting...in the end...it really helped us out.

It's not hard but it sure helps to see someone else do it before I did it for the first time. Thanks for taking the time to do the video.
Thanks! Couldn’t have done it without you! Wouldn’t have known where to start.

This was a huge help, better than the manual the fridge came with!
Thank you , it was good to see you struggle to unscrew the filter I was afraid to force it. Very simple change.
