The definitive edition took 4 steps backward, then removed music and took another 3 steps backward. The shit plays and looks like garbage. There isn't a single improvement about the game besides it's reflections on cars.

My reference for putting it as 1998 because of the modernity on that time. 1998 & 2004 technologies atm isn't that different right? GTA 2 come out in 1998, but the making of it? Probably 1996, with the coding and stuff. Now they made 3D gameplay, game coding is more likely to be a lot.
