Rode this for the first time yesterday and the video does it no justice, the launch takes you 0-130mph in twice the speed of a Ferrari and it’s probably literally the closest thing you’ll ever feel to a rocket ship in your life, the ride is short but very worth it. Absolutely terrifying and amazing.

Think of how many people crash in cars than on roller coasters a massive difference and when rides have crashed in this century most were human errors unless you look at somewhere like China or just any 3 rd world countries then yes accidents occur there since they are maintained badly.

I went on for the first time yesterday first row all i can say is that the anticipation is worse the g force is crazy the speed that is needed to go up is more extreme than the drop itself. You can't feel the drop. It only last a few seconds

Yep the anticipation is torment!! But it goes so fast I didn't even feel weightlessness going down. It's one of the best rides I've ever been on my only complaint is the ride time is very short. But I want on at multiple times I absolutely loved it
Nothing can describe how it felt going on this ride. And i did it on my bday which was today. The most intense part is going up and you dont feel the drop but the launch is isane

The line
You mean when you get to the part where, still in the line, you get a clear view of Kingda Ka's launch. That's the worst thing lol. Just go there early and instead of waiting 2-3 hours you'll wait 45 minutes.

I rode this over 10 years ago, and it took my breath away when I got to the top. I actually started praying because it was so scary, haha. Unfortunately, it ruined all other roller coasters for me. I don't get a thrill like I used to before riding Kingda Ka, because nothing has compared to it.

by far the 20 most amazing seconds of my life !! we were sitting fully forward, the speed is really powerful, you stay nailed to your seat, the eyes flow alone, in short, this roller coaster is really sensational

Ok so I went for the first time yesterday and it is so much fun. I was so scared... when people say you dont feel the drop is true. You don't get butterflies. And when it launches that is the "worst" part. And I say "worst" because is not even bad is super cool. It goes really fast and everything looks so pretty at the top. I definitely recommend this ride, it is mt favorite one out of all. You don't even get .

even though I'm a wuss when it comes to rollercoasters, I'm definitely going to make myself ride this coaster sometime in my life , but only if get one of my current/future friends to ride it with me, next time I go to an amusement park I'm going to try the more extreme rides which I wouldn't normally ride.

Im the exact same. On fucking el toro I rode in the back for my first time and there’s a photo of me with my friends heads up in the back with me in the back cart head down eyes shut, but that doesn’t mean I hate the feeling of coasters. I love coasters, it’s like a 1 and done situation

Just rode this bad boy 3 times in one day in NJ. Started the day off riding it twice in a row and ended the day with it. At the end I was DONE. It is an insane ride. Coming down feels like it's gonna fly off the rails into the theme park. 😳

@@chloehollar5074 Nitro is a much longer ride but no coaster in the world feels like Kingda-Ka, the launch feeling is unexplainable. I was there a couple weeks ago and there was no lines at all, we ran Kingda-Ka 8 times in a row front row without even exiting the line.

I went on this ride about 16 years ago.
I have to say this is still my best ride on a rollercoaster hands down.
My son is in NY at this moment in time. I asked my sister to take him there.

I'm going to six flags in about 2 or 3 weeks with my school and i'm pretty sure the scary part is when you're waiting to take off lols.
I remember my friend and I were shaking out of fear right before we got on the ride. Neither of us has ever been scared to go on a ride before or since then. It’s just so incredibly intimidating.

Flashbacks of Halloween 2016. I went on this with my aunt and her man at the time. This right here scared the living shit out of me. When we made it to the very peak of thel oop, I panicked for my life. I think I died and came back when we made it to the bottom

Oh man from 00:42 to 00:48 I've never been on this one, but I know that top thrill has the same feel right before you launch. Those few seconds after you hear the mechanism get ready is just flat out exhilarating. Keep up the awesome videos!

It’s really not as bad as you think it is. I’m telling you the worst part of it is waiting on the line, trust me. You don’t even notice the height once you’re up there. It’s so fast you don’t even know how to react! And my stomach didn’t drop when going down the hill.

This was the first ride that I went on when I got to the park. My group was one of the first to get in line, and so we literally walked right on. I've always been too afraid to go on it cause of the height, but it wasn't bad at all. Just the launch scared me a bit.
Rode it for the first time yesterday. A serious thrill. Very smooth ride but you really feel the speed and the wind!

I've been on that ride when i was like 9 or 8 like twice it was s much fun! My dad for some reason kept his eyes closed and screamed like a little girl. My eyes were open the whole time. It's also a nice view from the top before they drop you.

Honestly it's not the going up or coming down that really scares you, it's when you first launch the extreme acceleration towards what your brain thinks is a wall causes so much adrenaline! I love this ride more than any other I've been on (Even love it more than Universal Studios the Hulk Ride)

Was at fright fest tn, first time at six flags as an avid coaster fan. This was closed for night, but I’ll be back. Crazy seeing it in person. I love launch coasters though so I know I’ll love it

Spent over 3 hours in line for this when was opened for the first few months. The ride lasts less than a minute…still enjoyed it.

I have been on this ride aproximately 973 times. 932 times front row. 132 were rollbacks
Assuming the ride goes for 1 minute from beginning to end (including loading and unloading). That means you have spent about 16 hours on this ride.
Then assuming that it takes about an hour lining up every time, that means you have spent 973 hours from just lining up.
Your total is already at 989 hours.
Then you have to add on the approximate 1 minute that it takes you to be relaunched after being in a roll back, which adds on another 2 hours. So in total you have spent approximately 991 hours of your life based around this ride.
Now, if we make every day you went have the same weekend operating hours (10:30AM-8:00PM), then that means you were there for about of 94 days and for those 94 days you devoted your attention directly on this ride.
Now yes this is possible, so I haven't really proved a point, but knowing that you claim to have spent 94 days devoted to a single ride just makes me sad and i feel bad for you... Have a nice life...

Dimitar Kolev I would just like to point out that a rollback can occur even if he wasn't in the front row. A rollback means it went to the top and didn't make it over so it rolled back down, not that he sat in a seat that wasn't the front row :P

honestly wouldn't mind going on this. what scares me on roller coasters is the anticipation and fear that builds up on the way up to the drop. this goes so fast that i wouldn't feel fear for long at all.

I deadass passed out on this ride back in 2017. The moment I regain consciousness was at the top of the rollercoaster. The sheer horror when I was looking straight down haunts me to this day 😭😭

I went on this ride with my son Ryan. We planned a trip this summer just to go on this ride! Flew to DC from Florida, rented a truck and drove to New Jersey all for the experience to ride the tallest rollercoaster in the world and fastest in North America. Prepped with many CZcams videos beforehand like prepping for a moon launch. Sat in the first car since that is the smoothest and will not rock side-to-side. Ride is smooth as glass. Knowing the mechanics of the launch vehicle, history, the break after the top-hat....all helps with the experience. The second best part of the ride is the anticipation when you sit down in the coaster and it rolls back a couple feet to engage the catapult launch vehicle. It can be described as pure terror. Then in an instant, you are shot forward faster then you have ever been in your life, faster then any Tesla, drag racer, or any vehicle available to mere mortals. All coasters after riding this coaster have a little less zing to them. Although we recommend the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Epcot as another "Must Ride" roller coaster!
Damn that roller coaster looks awesome! I'm going to great adventure next weekend so excited!!! At first i was scared of roller coasters but my cousin got me into them. The thing that only sucks though is that you wait in that long line for only a drop. I mean the ride is only like 10secs.

I remember when they first started building this roller coaster back in '04 and I told my then girlfriend at the time. I said yea baby we're going to have to get on that next summer when it's finished. 18yrs later I've only been back to 6 Flags once an still haven't gotten on it 😄....maybe 2022 will be the year 🤔
