The Garmin Tactix 7 Pro is my most favorite Garmin watch and my first watch was the Garmin 305 and they have come a long way. Anyone interested in the Garmin watches should check into the Tactix line as it is a Garmin Fenix with a much better look. Garmin Tactix also has some extra features that can be useful for some.

I was searching for a video like yours , I’ve have been wondering for weeks about buying a Garmin tactix 7 pro or the new amoled , many people are complaining about the pro saying that the amoled is better but I always consider battery sustainability more than looks.

Well done :) Glad you mentioned the screen visibility in different conditions as I've only seen a Sapphire Solar in the store under florescent lights where it looked quite poor. Still trying to decide what screen type I prefer. Thanks
Thanks for the comment. Regarding screen the non solar Tactix 7 will be like a F6X visibility wise. It is quite a bit better than solar version w/o backlight. But inside w/o backlight it was always harder to see anyway because mips inside. I turned up backlight to 50% and looks acceptable.
Good luck with whatever you choose but you can buy from Garmin or through health insurance at 20% off and send the one back you don’t like.

I recently got that watch and I'm very happy for my purchase!
One thing I noticed after watching your video is that when it comes to the flashlight, when I press the top right and bottom left button to change flashlight modes it's locking or unlocking the touch screen🤔
Another strange thing is that the watch don't read the naps in the daytime. I sleep only 4-5 hours at night and 2-3 in the afternoon but the watch read only the night sleep!
@@Jim_Vass thanks you for the kind words and naps are coming I believe by year end. For the flashlight you can set a hotkey. Easier to explain via the manual (below) than typing a bunch but plan to do a series of shorter videos on stuff I did not include.

If you prefer white background, you could see watch screen easier. I always use black on white as a Garmin user since 2017.

I really want this watch for the hunt feature. But i have not found any info about it. I want this watch primarily for hunting and mapping. I hunt alot of public land with no cell service. But if a fenix has this feature i may go that route. Don’t need all the tactical stuff.
I am not sure if it was added to Fenix. The regular (non solar) and pro solar tactical don’t have ballistics which I don’t need either.
The hunt feature has public land maps, you can mark spots/locations, navigate to those saved locations are the basics of what that app does.
In short Tactix regular / pro is a Fenix as I mentioned just a different look. Thanks and hope that answered your question.
How bright is it outwide with sun out? I know it's a tactical watch but I don't want to have to squint to see it all the time
Super easy to see outside in any kind of sun. Inside not the easiest w/o backlight.
