In this video, I guide you through a Facebook Shops Tutorial and show you how your small business can sell products directly through Facebook. We will set up your Facebook shop and add your products so customers can simply purchase your products directly through Facebook without even leaving Facebook!
This is a recent Facebook feature that has been pushed out early to support small businesses all around the world.
Here are some of the features of Facebook shops is an absolute game-changer for small business:
► Facebook shops are EXTREMELY fast and responsive. Creating a better ► Fast user experience and optimised for higher conversions.
► The entire transaction is completed through Facebook, the entire sale process.
► Facebook has partnered with many other companies to provide essential integrations.
► Eventually, Facebook shops will extend to Whatsapp, messenger and other apps.
► Facebook fees include: selling fee of 5% per transaction or $0.40 if the transaction is less than $8.00

This sounded good when I saw this title but seeing how Facebook enforces how you run your business ie shipping times etc is a big red flag for me, Would rather build online shop through other mediums where I am in total control. BTW your video quality and presentation is awesome.

Yes, from the sounds of it, Facebook has not yet rolled out all the features in many countries. Seems like there are limitation on certain accounts too. Currently, there is not much support online. Personally, I would wait till Facebook has updated Facebook Shops. Seems like they were in too much of a rush!

This was very clear, thanks Stewart - probably the best, most useful I've seen. I like the way you outlined all the steps showing visuals for each without being too slow or too fast. It was excellent! Thank you. (Just so that you know I was hanging on every word, where you explain 'basket minimum for free delivery' it sounds like you're saying $15 but the number you enter is $50). Is it possible to sell my yoga videos in this way and not just physical products?

Hi Stewart, thanks for this. Do you also know how to convert a regular shop on a bizz page, into the new FB 'shops': Checkout Method still is: "Checkout on Another Website" when i look in settings. I was forwarding the product to a webshop outside of FB and would like to sell directly through FB now. I can't seem to change that setting. Thanks for any insight!

Great Video Stewart! I still have a question, is it possible to add a specific collection/catalogus to another Facebook and Instagram, apart from the original store? For example if a brand releases a collab collection and they want to add the collection to an individual Instagram page made for the collection?

Thanks for the great video. Can you please explain what can we ship items without a tracking number? Usually for low-value items in Australia we send them via normal post without tracking and eBay usually allows this. How does this work in FB?

Good question, Currently, I think this is against FB shipping policy. Therefore, you will have to use tracking on all orders.

Hi Stewart. Thank your very much for taking the time explaining this. It was very helpful. I have a question tho. How can I list/sell my shop items on Facebook MarketPlace? I know how to list items on MarketPlace with my personal profile but I can't find a way to add "Stock quantity" to my items so that when a customer hits the "buy now" button it doesn't show it has been "sold". I would like for my items always be available for more purchases until I ran out. Any advice? Thanks

Hi Dilys, I think UK has the features available now with FB shops. Ideally use 1080 by 1080.

Are you the admin for the business page? Make sure your business manager is set up too.
Honestly, I'm not too sure if Facebook have completely pushed out the essential features for 'Facebook shops' for all countries yet. Facebook has said this will roll out world wide in the coming weeks (a few weeks back). If this is not available in Australia yet... it should be within the next week I would say!

Hi, thanks for the great video. Sadly I am still confused- it doesn´t seem to be working for me. I have a business account set up and I´m trying to get the shop started. When I try to use the checkout on facebook through comerce manager it says that FB only support businesses with US bank accounts (I´m based in Ireland), when I try to use the direct message option it says that my page doesn´t meet the requirements for shops. Any idea what I need to look at and change? I throught I had everything set up properly...

Great video! I just stumbled across that facebook helps small businesses like that. I sell art and my prices even varies. Don't know how exactly to fit that into the setting up...any tips? I live in Denmark and if I wanna be sure to have the product delivered to the customer within 7 days, won't I have to stay within Denmark just in case? Firstly, see if you have all the options available in your country for FB Shops. They do have limited shipping options. I would go through the process and see if FB shops is a good option for you. Otherwise just use FB shops to send customers to your website to purchase.
Great video ... but... We previously were able to post homes and duplexes for rent to Marketplace as a Business Page. This SHOP tutorial does not address the "Homes for Rent" option. Can you point me to another of your videos to show the new way to do this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Stewart, can you choose what country can buy each of your individual products? Some of my products could be sold overseas but my vegetable seeds can only be sold within Australia. I wouldn't want someone outside of Australia accidentally paying for seeds that I can't send and having to refund money. Can you help?
Hi mate, unfortunately, you do not have these options to set, FB shops is still very limited. The only option is to make it clear in your product description or/and even in your images.

Great tutorial. I am in Canada and received an email invite to starting using the new Facebook shops. I have an existing FB page shop with an e-commerce store that I pay a monthly fee for. It seems with the new Facebook shops, an e-commerce store is no longer required as you can checkout directly from Facebook. Am I right? If so, would I just unlink my e-commerce store, cancel my e-commerce subscription and create my products manually in the Facebook shop?

You are correct. This means your customers can buy directly through Facebook. Personally, I would keep your store and link your store with Facebook shops and then over time remove your ecommerce store if you are finding that the Facebook shop works for you.
