I love all THREE versions of this song from Mariah. The original 2010 solo version from Mariah Carey...the 2nd version from the 2015 Hallmark movie ('A Christmas Melody' - 2015) that Mariah produced, directed, and played a supporting acting role in...and this new 2020 collaborative version with Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, and Ariana Grande.

With a lot less ease and fluidity, of course, but that's expected of female vocalists who have spent their entire career singing stratospheric notes. But her unique tone, superb songwriting and producing abilities remain her best assets and still make her such a force to reckon with in the current landscape.

Mariah has been one of my all time favourite singers since the 90s. Some of her deep cuts have the best vocal performances I've ever heard. Her melodies are unmatched and her musicality is out of this world. The other two are amazing too!

Miss, I must have been living in a cave where I failed to see the spectrum of facial reactions that another human can deliver. I only watch your videos for your body language now. It does wonders for my ADD. Keep up the good work.
I have never heard this before. It's really good. There are two young artists that you have to hear. First the 2014 winner Holland's Got Talent Amira Willighagen. And unless you speak Hollandic you should check out her "O Mio Babbino Caro" for English speakers, be sure to include what the judges say before and after she sings. Then watch her sing the same song two years later to see how much she improved. Also look at Darci Lynne sing "O Mio Babbino Caro" in America's Got Talent Champions finals. It will change your mind about how to sing opera.
I found this channel because of ""The Hobbit - Misty Mountain //The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (LIVE)" with Johan Karlström, I loved it and searched more of that orchestra, and I stumbled on "DIVA DANCE // The Danish National Symphony Orchestra feat. Jihye Kim ". In one of the comments someone said it was great, but Jane Zhang's was his favorite. And here I am, subscribing to an opera singer's channel of all things. P.S. If you could review one of those songs, it would be great. Also, that orchestra has many great performances, based on movies. I love "Who wants to live forever" and "Once upon a time in the west" with Tuva Semmingsen.

Hi Elizabeth. Courtney Hadwin was on a live chat the other day and played a cover of 'Love Hurts' that she recorded almost two years ago. It was the most mind blowing piece of music I've ever heard. Everyone listening was literally speechless and the most common response that finally came was OMG. That is, until we all asked her to play it again. I have never heard anything like it before. This so needs to get released officially, because it is exponentially better than any piece of music out there today. I know you will love it. Can't wait to see your reaction.

Lately I have been listening to and really enjoying young Grace Vanderwaal (turning 17 in January). She has a very expressive and emotional quality to her voice that seems well beyond her years. On the other hand, she would seem very out of place if she was on stage with these three Divas, who could likely sing rings around her. The harmonic whistling was amazing in this video. Mariah, Ariana and Jennifer are spectacular vocalists, yet I will spend more time listening to Grace sing a cover of Billy Joel's 'Vienna' or one of her originals like 'The City', again and again, over the recordings of the Diva's. I 'feel' the song when Grace sings it. Not so much with Mariah, Ariana and Jennifer, even though I think of them as technically 'better singers'. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Hey so I thought I would suggest something a bit different. I listen to a lot of sea shanties by The Dreadnoughts and The Longest Johns. They are both great groups and I think you might enjoy them if you are looking for anything different! Just thought I would put that out there have a Merry Christmas!

You should react to Nirvana - Something in the Way. Kurt Cobain is by no means perfect technique-wise, but there's just something special conveyed in the "flawed" delivery. It makes it so much more human and emotional. It's like that Japanese thing Kintsugi, where you repair broken pottery by mending it with gold, silver, or platinum.

I mean, a 50 year old woman, 39 year old woman and a 27 year old woman all singing together. It's basically 2.5 generations of music. It's an interesting juxtaposition considering how "similar" their voices can be at times. Mariah's voice basically hasn't change much, as best I can tell. Ariana is still developing. And Jennifer Hudson is probably in her prime. It's neat.

"Star Dust" is about Jo, a boy of nine years, who experiences that his parents are going to divorce. Elly comes from a fairytale people called the "Star People" in the North. It is as far north in the world as it is possible to get, just below Nordstjerna. Elly is the star child, the one who gives power and light to the North Star. She has magical powers that allow her to control snow and ice, and she does not feel cold. Elly can not get home again until Nordstjerna lights up, and she needs help from Jo.
Jo and Elly have different skills, challenges and longings. Elly gives Jo the courage to cope with all the new things that are happening in his life
