This has got to be one of the best floor finals i've seen... so much great talent.. and so sad for Sandra.. but I am glad that Vanessa got a medal. I thought she was the rightful bronze medalist at the london olympics..
Could someone explain Murakami's 8.266 E score to me??? way too low, at least for me. She's got difficulty, stick the landings (especially the first one), no bit form breaks. Do I miss anything here?
Her body position in the double double and triple twist (chest low, low saqud). From there maybe 0.6-0.8 in deductions plus 0.2 in tiny hops, her leaps weren't bad, but not perfect, 0.2-0.3, the double layout seems to be good, but maybe she had leg separation, plus the hop, 0.2. The twist combination was good, just the 0.1 hop, the quad spin gorgeous just the control at the end, 0.1. I count 1.4-1.7 deductions... I know Sandra was doing these Words only for fun but still, it hurts to see her falling on the last line. I guess at an age, the body just can't handle it like it used to. Anyway, Sandra remains one of the best romanian gymnasts with 4 olympic medals- 2 gold, 2 bronze. Congrats to L. Iordache, to the amazing and powerfull Simone B. and to Ferrari.
Man.... I remember in 2008, there were basically 3 double doubles done in the world (2 at the Olympics: Shawn Johnson and Cheng Fei) and now, 5 years later, there are 4 in the EF (not to count the ones that didn' make EF - Victoria Moors -) AND a full-in layout??
Oh Sandra...the one upgrade she did was the one she fell on :(( Even Ellie was ahead of the music a lot too :/ But a silver for Vanessa and finally a World final for Mai, women's floor is always my favorite to watch on the women's side!
Larisa's FX routine is just so enjoyable to watch! absolutely love it so much! really broke my heart when I saw her fall off the beam, but happy to see her come back in FX.
It's great to see a floor champion with high difficulty AND execution. Hopefully that trend continues for the rest of this quad. And hopefully Sandra comes back to redeem herself... so sad to see her fall on her final floor routine. =/
@@josephqualtier961 Right! Anna Pavlova stans are some of the most delusional, bitter, and insufferable people I have seen and interacted with on the internet.
Simone 8,5 execution???? Lots of big hops on landings 😒 no way she scored higher in execution than Mai and Vanessa (by far the best executions in this competition by what i saw 😁, specially on landings..) and others.. such big hops would mean huge deduction isnt? And that horrible wolf turn...too fast and poorly controlled. Kyla too.
People are so annoying! Not all gymnasts should be 'graceful' and 'elegant'. Body types are all different so we dont need to force all female gymnasts into one category and chuck out the ones who dont fit the mould. Gymnastics would be boring. Welcome to the new age. Congratulations Iordache and Biles.
Every time I see Sandra, I'm never dissapointed because she always gives a presentation. She might've fallen here, but she was one of USAG's nightmare ( taking gold medals away from like Johnson or Maroney ).
Simone Biles and Vanessa Ferrari getting a higher E-score than Mai Murakami, who was the cleanest I've seen in a long time, just does not make any sense, sorry. Mai was criminally underscored for her crisp, wonderful routine. This is some major bullshit.
how so? you do know that deductions are taken from more than just the landings right? ferrari had many landings where her chest were low, and form breaks in the air. other than biles landings biles was way cleaner in the air, higher in the air, and lands upright
Biles deserved to win aa and silver on vt but some of her scores (along with other gymnasts) have been a bit dubious. With landings like the one she has it doesn't seem fair that she should be winning over Mai or Vanessa. They have 6.2 to her 6.5, it's not like their routines are super easy. I'd understand if a 5.6 that was cleanly vs. Biles less clean routine, giving it to Biles, but not a 6.2 that's better executed. Stupid Code. Biles is still great though.
The only reason why the gymnastic girls started doing the split jump in the first place on floor exercise routine, it's because they know when it's time for them to sick those landings and they mess up or go out of bounds they jump up into a split to make the judges think that's what they intended to do, because they're trying to cover up their mistakes because they didn't stick The landing so they want to judge us to think that was part of their routine
Such a great array of talent here! It's amazing how Simone already won this year, and has upgraded her routine every year since. However, I think the judges did somewhat overlook both her lack of artistry and large hops on landing; others like Iordache had much better choreography and music, and overall a higher performance level. Such a shame that Izbasa fell, too! She could maybe have grabbed a bronze or silver medal! :(
Simone Biles( aka the winner) is now the 5x floor champ and Olympic floor champ. Arguably the best female tumbler to have ever lived. But sure...go on and complain about her not sticking some landings.
@@youngcontrarian8532 Her accomplishments and merits still doesn't justify her inflated e-scores. Her all around floor routine in Rio was her best routine ever yet she scores lower than event finals? Her event final floor was overscored and sloppy, yet receives a high score. No explanation for that. It's cuz of thoughts like those that athletes can get away with overscoring.
