I remember playing it in 2018… but watching this made me realize how hazy I was on the details.. I was thinking who’s “Atreus” cause all I remembered was “Boy”

What's amazing about the 2018 one is that you can either take Kratos perspective, fully in knowledge of his history, or Atreus, with little to no knowledge of his father, and picking up the pieces from the storytelling around him.
That’s essentially what I did with the latter. I knew of Kratos and his games although never played them. I was amazed
Man, jormungander was easily the most selfless and cooperative guy in this entire story

He’s the only son in this entire series that listens to his dad without questioning 😩
Seeing this summary I now realised, at the end, Kratos spreads the ashes of Fay, and I believe it symbolises him letting go of his anger and frustration at the gods, the opposite of the ashes that sticks to his body to this day. In the end, I believe he finally forgave himself in a way.

I think not fully, as you can remember in the last scene of GoW: Ragnarok when he found the last mural behind Atreus’ showing he was being praised, that is when he finally believed that he has changed and has forgiven himself.
I love how when Baldur first met Kratos he said "i thought you'd be bigger" because now we know he was expecting a giant

The last few hours of GoW4 are absolutely astounding. I'm so happy they kept this series going but in a new, fresh, direction.
I love these videos. I am so bad at remembering the events of long games and at keeping complex plotlines straight in my head, so these are a lifesaver for me. The God of War ones are particularly fascinating.
It’s nuts that I can even do it with Kingdom Hearts considering how convoluted it can be.

I just hope Ragnarok follows the tradition of having a Godzilla sized boss fight, 2018 had that giant corpse which counts imo, and from what I can see from the Ragnarok trailer, Fenrir is gonna be one of them big bois
there was the dragon ass well imo it was not like a titan for example kronos but it was nice having to fight a bigger enemy.but i know what you mean and i think we will definetly have something big comig our way.maybe surtur or fenrir or who knows maybe if artreus turns against us we could fight the world surppent.i am really exited to see what they have in store for us

Thanks for that fast recap I rly forgot basically everything... but there were some things I didnt notice the last panel for example. Im still thinking about a quick playthrough before Ragnarök though just to feel more involved into the story. And if time lets me maybe even some of the original 3

I've considered it, I just don't know how I'd handle all the different choices.
@@SuggestiveGaming Well, I would suggest doing different timelines that evolves two choices, like Carley and Doug’s fate, take the food and supplies or not, leave Lily or take her with them. Something like that.

Also, I love the God Of War story and it’s a great saga as well as the new interpretation of the Norse mythology, but over all the story is just great
