Only a few days ago I saw a speech by Dave Chapelle talking about how the LGBT community had pushed a trans friend of his to suicide after defending him online (during his controversy last year).

The problem with a defamation lawsuit is you need to be able to prove the people knowingly lied when they defamed your character. The tweets acknowledging it was a mistake would likely prove that they didn't know the story was made up.

I'm really beginning to have actual immense disdain for some former friends because they encouraged the kind of behavior aimed at Silvervale and others.
At some point people need to look back up at the slope and admit it was a bit slippery.

If the suicide is real or not, I stuck to my argument that no one deserves to be harassed or doxxed, not Silvervale, not this suicide victim whoâs name I donât even know, no one!

In my country Malaysia the lgbt+ community do not have legal rights. There are activists are fighting to change that but it's such an uphill battle I don't think it will happen within my lifetime (I'm in my twenties). It's sad and it becomes even more frustrating when these twitter SJWs do something like this because it just makes people over here go "See how crazy the West has become because of lgbt+! As i and a lot of other people were saying back on Twitter- even if it wasnt fake, it's sickening that people would actively use someone's suicide as ammunition rather than mourning the death. These trans activists hold no care for the community and the people in it, they just try to cause drama and harm

I remember when I first saw this on Twitter. My gut reaction was something doesn't feel right about it. Just a sickening thing to do. Shame on the original poster for doing it.
If somebody deletes themselves, then they delete themselves. Not much anybody can do about it. It is what it is. The people that spread that false deletion narrative should face some kind of consequences though.
But nobody should be held accountable for the actions of another person. If somebody deletes their avatar for something Silver said, then that is on them. Not on Silver... I'm tired of content creators getting targeted and blamed for the actions of super weak people.

If it was made up, and i wouldnt not be supprised, not the first time... like several people have made up similar stories about various online forums that either have been disproven or cannot be proven; but I also think that the topic self-deletion is almost always(when online) used as emotional manipulation, and am very sceptical by default.
