Edit the time down for the section you simply didn't know to remove the rubber strips for the other access screws. I swear I lost brain cells.
Indeed, why am I watching 10 minutes of a guy failing to open a computer
I quite enjoyed looking at this. BUT, the music was so bad I barely made it to the end.
Thanks for posting, I was always wondering if they hid screws under the feet. You should think about editing out the frantic failed tries to open 😊
Why don't open from the bottom?a big mistake
good video mate!!! very helpful
can somebody help me find where the RTC is on this thing? I can't seem to find a video tutorial. Thanks
Perfect Video. Thank you.....Gracias video excelente……...
I can see a unused connector below the sd card reader slot on the mobo.is it possible to get a ribbon pin to sata connector and use it for hdd? Thanks for your advise
hello, are the hp 14-ba101nt model and Samsung 1 TB 980 PRO MZ-V8P1T0BW M.2 PCI-Express 4.0 SSD compatible?
Hi I think it could work, but with pcie gen 3 speed, as this laptop has gen 8 Intel CPU
Hi, I've got a HP Pavilion x360 - 14-ba094sa laptop and I spilt wine on a part of it whilst it was on. Not even sure it can be fixed as it won't turn on. But where is the hard drive maybe i could just take that out to save my data. Most hardrives seem obvious but I can't see it here.
It's depends on how much liquids your entire hardware had received, i have seen laptop was working 5 years after cup of sweet cofee was overthrow on it, with only hard disk changed
Thanks for the video. Is there a way to just take the keyboard out without taking out the whole palm rest panel with KB in 14t(mine is 14M-CD0001DX) ?
no, keyboard and palmrest is a kit, but is possible replace keyboard in a technical service
Didn't show how to remove screen.
I have the same laptop but with ssd and hdd. Unfortunately water got spilled on it, I turned off immediately and let it dry off for a day when I came to turn it on again it didn’t turn on I thought the battery might have drained so I let it to charge for like 10min but no luck even though the led light next to the charging port lights up. My question is what could be damaged ? Thank you
i'm sorry to hear that, i's hard to answer question,
it could be a short circuit on your motherboard, the battery could cuz it, you didn't removed it when it happened, i hope you have no corrosion on your MB, even after cleaning nobody knows it will work(
Hello! I am a little confused. Where is the SSD on this laptop? I am trying to change it and am having a hard time finding it
Did you find it?
Yes! Thank you. :) I did not realize it was a 1.8" drive. I bought a 2.5" drive to install into this computer. Do you think it will still fit?
@@AlisonLinh hm, i'm not sure
if u have already got hdd installed then replace it with new 1.8 ssd drive, if not as in this video u see ssd or hdd wont fit as there is no connection to board but i dont know why they have left waste space at bottom right corner , but instead you can add m.2 drive up to 1tb which was next to ram slots
j rohith Thanks for your help! I ended up getting the M.2 and installed it easily.
Are there warranty void stickers on the inside to void if cracked open?
i haven't founded
Hi! Can I add a SSD on the i3-7100U model (14-ba090tx)? It has a M.2 port on the bottom of the motherboard
Hi, if this spec is yours: support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c05908589, you can just change your HDD to SSD, i can't see here info about additional port
i have the problème no hard drive found error f3ho and somtimes its work normaly so i wqnt finde thr hard drive in the computer but ididnt reconise it on yr vedio
There is no HDD in this laptop, on 13:55 i showing the SSD it's coming with (M.2 SanDisk x400 256G)
Can you add an HDD drive, to the right button interior free space of the laptop? Or an SSD one?
Yes, but you need to buy a special cable for connect it to MB
Lol at the official store they told me that was not possible. I won't trust them retailers anymore.
@@ITFIX How did you figure this out? What type of cable is this? Any idea how I can find this cable?
Model name?
Hi there, i have the same pc and it running slow im thinking on replacing the hdd with an m.2 ssd but i don´t know if there is an m.2 slot and i don´t want to tear it open. On the video i wasn´t able to spot it but you had a closer look, did you find any slot that is m.2 compatible?
You can basically check it on hp site with your serial number
13:50 you could see the m.2 slot and the SSD (SanDisk) coming with it.
Yes m.2 port avaliable
Is it hdd port available?
There is 1 hdd slot under the keyboard next to the battery and the m.2 slot is on the otherside of the board above where you replace ram
@@bobshishka53 thank u but how can connect hdd to mb please tellme that connecting cable name
can you upgrade the processor?
No, the CPU is soldered to MB
is this ssd support to pcie??or just m2 sata
Ktandoksusu this is SATAIII only
ok the ssd is just support to sataIII only...but i look at the video it is use a ssd m2??that the ssd m2 slot is support to pcie ???
Ktandoksusu No, it's supports just SATA M.2 devices and not supported nvme m.2 devices
Nice work! It looks like a pain in the butt, though. So to access the additional RAM slot you actually have to pry apart and remove the top panel, disconnect all the ribbons/cables, unscrew the motherboard and flip it over? So is there no way to just pop off the back panel?
hi dude, thanks for watching, you are absolutely right, it's a very difficult to open and to change some parts, you can only take off the battery almost easy, the MB is inverted whats making any replacement very difficult
Man that sucks. Why would HP make access so difficult? You have to damn near do surgery just to add a ram module. I have the 15-br095ms which is the 15" version of this laptop. I wanna swap the keyboard to a backlit one, but not sure if it will be worth it, since just getting the top panel popped off is a chore. Did you break any of the clips holding it down at all or was it still tight when you reassembled? I have some opening tools both metallic and non-marring, but I think I'll need to order a few more non-marring opening tools for this, but I may not even try since I'd have to literally pry the metal frame holding the standard keyboard to the top panel from beneath the bottom then use a soldering rod to reattach the plastic attach points to hold the new one in place. Lame. Although I like HP, they suck in this case for making access so difficult with this laptop.
What brand of RAM is in there? I can't make it out in the video.
Sk Hynix DDR4-8GB
Awesome. Thank you.
How do you make the keyboard light up
F5
I have a 14-cd0520sa. After watching lots of other videos online I attempted to do this but my keyboard doesn’t seem to be snap in like the other models. I think it’s stuck on with adhesive. Is that the same here??
Also, is the touch screen accurate? I'd like to make lines with a pen or thin stylus to draw notes on it. People at the official shop told me both that no HDD could be added and that the touch screen was not accurate. But at this point I don't trust them, since the space for the HDD/SSD is clearly there. I am not sure about the stylus precision though.
Juan Andrés i have one seems accurate to me
space is there in the video , but as u observe there is no connection to board it was empty , only m.2 drive working which was next to ram slot
What size ssd is that is it m.2 nvme or what?
It's 2280 M.2 SATA by SanDisk
@@ITFIX so I can only put an m.2 in there or can I use the other ones as well. I'm trying to upgrade mine.
@@chicobuddy95 yes of course
Another question for you would I be able to add a 2.5 inch drive? It looks like it would fit in the empty slot
“Hp pavilion x360 14-cd0050TX it have a 1tb +8gb sshd is it possible to upgrade just the ssd to 500gb without replacing my hdd?”
Hi dude,
as i understand you have only one connector for SSD/HDD and it's occupied by your 1tb + 8gb sshd (like this: amzn.to/2MwmFAH) so you can't add more, but you can replace it for 1TB-2TB SSD and you will get much more performance.
Check also if you have a M.2 slot, you can use (don't really know about your model)
