- G’day Legends, well this week’s video is a Stormy day fishing with my good mate Shauno. We headed out to try catch a variety of species and ended up getting amongst some reefies, pelagics and a big pesky shark! At the end of the video I show you how I make my famous Smoked fish dip! The busting balls and banter between fishing friends is a thing of legend. Wish I had recordings of all my time on the water with my friends.
Just a suggestion, if your going for a shark and too frightened to remove the hook, squash your barbs so they can get rid of the hook easy after release. The hook rusting quick is an old wives tail. Something as small as a 3/0 hook can last for several months up to a year or two sometimes and cause terrible long term injuries.
Great vid again. The trash talk between you both was on point this week. I chuckled when Shauno said it was a long fin and the you asked "Why didn't you catch it??" Shauno was defeated at that point. And then got a good few jabs in too. That's what its all about!!

Been watching 4wd Action for a while (seems like forever -- used to wheel in Arizona, USA) and now getting into watching fishing since i moved to a place with much more water... stumbling across your channel with occasional Shauno is bonus! On ya Sammy 👍🏻 Sick upload again mate. I have to say though, I don’t know how you do it. I went over there with a mate on Friday (took day off work) and it was so quiet. Long Tail were scarce and hard to get onto also as well as most fish. So frustrating! Well done on your session though 🤙🏻
HW We’ll we didn’t do that well either! It was a tough old bite. I think the weather is playing with the fish a bit, barometer is going up and down like a rollercoaster!

Hi Sammy. Just started watching you video and have a question I am hoping you could explain. I have heard that "high sticking" the new style of rods can break them. Cam you please explain "high sticking" or is it as simple as the term would indicate. Thanks Sammy
Graham Ross hey mate, high sticking is where you have the rod angled too high while fighting a fish which point loads the blank and can cause them to snap 👍👍

the weirdest thing happen yesterday, I was free lining for bream when a boat beside me was getting on the trailer had there motor on max and that made a GIANT TIDAL WAVE knocking ALL my stuff including my uglystik off the wharf and into the water :(. but luckily my friends where there and he dived in and got all my stuff back. but the guy that was on the boat gave me 50 bucks credit at complete angler :).

Love your videos but just my .02$ I don’t mess with sharks. That’s the king out there. Yes unfortunately that tax man comes often. But if you ever end up in that drink, boat goes down. I dunno I just don’t kill or fish for sharks anymore. Something about that.

im sure it delicious but its interesting how western cooking always try to eliminate the taste and smell of the fish with loads of sauce or by smoking it. In japan, we embrace the taste of each ingredient be it vegetable or fish. So it kinda means you dont really need the fish in there.

Storing your hook on the eyelets will scar and will creat a bad spot that could do what just happened I you.

You used to be the only fishing show that caught cleaned and cooked not catch and release, that a real fisherman would never do considering the expense of fuel bait & boat etc please stop throwing pan size fish back
